The second signing of our shortened summer is 26 year old midfielder Mario Lemina from Southampton on a year long loan. please log in to view this image It's another low risk signing as a loan with an option to buy if it goes well. I think he provides competition/cover for Cairney and Onomah, but I've not seen enough to make a judgement. Southampton fans have very mixed views on him - when he's good he's great, but those days aren't too often. Someone threw out a comparison with Taarabt, but at least Lemina has actually done it in the PL. Good potential, low-cost competition, certainly better to make a loan deal than another Seri type situation.
Have to say I don't know much about this guy. I also read Southampton forum and they say he was lazy for them. Everyone though needs a second chance and he's certainly got the skills. Could prove an astute signing.
