If you put together the best team from the 14 other sides in the PL they still wouldn't break the top 6, that is how far clear they are. Only way a team could regularly break it is with Man City levels of investment or for one of the big 6 to implode.
We will mate, we're moving in the right direction, even you can see that. You need to win something anyway ffs, when was your last trophy? I honestly can't remember, must be last century though #fivetimes
Exactly, it's almost become a mini league within the league. We should just **** you lot off and start a super league, it'll save time playing dross week in week out that just want to defend to get a point.
That could happen to Chelsea with Roman getting the hump and cancelling the stadium, players wanting out, manager not knowing if he's even been sacked or not etc. etc. oh that would be funny.
Yeah I would love a European super league to happen and think it will eventually. For all the criticism La Liga gets for being a 2/3 team league it is so much better for fans outside of the big clubs as there is still a Champs League spot to get and the 3 Europe League places, means the smaller teams have something realistic to aim for. In England it is 7th and maybe Europa League, it is ****ing **** and pointless.
I think you're looking at it with too much of a weak mentality. You guys especially could well have made the top six or force a new status of the 'top seven' had you not consistently sold your best players over recent years. It also comes down to the ambition of a club. Too many now - probably at least half the league - play with the mentality of just looking to survive, so it's no wonder the top 6 remain so strong when they don't have sufficient competition for places. I'm not saying Spurs are perfect but we've proven that with the right ambition and sensible investment, it's definitely possible to muscle in on the big boys despite the greater stature and bigger financial clout they have. We've secured our third top three finish in a row despite being the smallest of the 'big 6'. There's no reason why sides like yourselves, Everton, Leicester and maybe even Burnley now can't make a regular challenge for high end positions.
