So then why do you claim Maradona's Barcelona 84 was a vintage side. Everyone with an ounce of footballing knowledge knows they were poor under Menotti, and only improved under El Tel after a disappointing/injured Maradona was sold.
And anyone with even the flimsiest grasp of the game will know that doing moderately ok against Barcelona with **** all trophy to show for it is meaningless in the grand scheme of things . Nice try though.
You can't go that far back with a Chelsea fan. He probably thinks that the original Chelsea were playing at Plough Lane in 1991.
the current Barca team are ****ing ****e. They are second in La Liga and just got beat by an also ran team from a **** Premier League. Hang on...
Have no doubt ,we will. Love the know alls on these boards, though most had the grace to disappear when we beat the unbeatable, gonna tear your hearts out ,5-0 easy Barcelona. Not a one came back and said they were wrong, but several genuine fans sent congratulations. Which category do you fall into ???
Should be a great second leg at Camp Nou. as Pep says, Chelsea are favourites with their 1-0 lead, but I think there will be a twist or two yet. Whoever goes through, beat the Filth!
I suppose the whole point of this is to show that Chelsea have a better record than United. Looking at the last 10 years of the Premiership, head to head, that is true! In those 20 matches, Chelsea have won 8, lost 6 and drawn 6, whilst both have the same goal tally - 24. Before everyone gets carried away, however, one must accept that United have won the Premier League 12 times, that's 9 times more than either Chelsea or Arsenal.
