Ditto...oops!!!! City: George Long; Eric Lichaj, Jordy de Wijs, Reece Burke, Stephen Kingsley; Kevin Stewart, Jackson Irvine, Markus Henriksen; Jarrod Bowen, Kamil Grosicki, Tom Eaves. Subs: Matt Ingram, David Milinkovic, Jon Toral, Nouha Dicko, Robbie McKenzie, Ryan Tafazolli, Josh Bowler, Brandon Fleming, Max Sheaf, Jacob Greaves, Keane Lewis-Potter
Good game tbh. First half we looked sharp. Grosicki cutting in from the left and giving their right back a torrid time. Looked tight at the back. Promising. Bowen goal was well worked but looked off-site. Wouldn't have survived a VAR appeal, that's for sure. Second half a few changes and we looked off the pace. They pressed well and profited from a couple of our mistakes. Apart from that Dicko wonder goal we didn't really create anything. Fair result at the end. I've just made all this up by the way. I thought the MDT could do with a bit of a lift.
These friendlies are rubbish. I recall going to Grimsby one year to see us win 2-0, tor 2-1 then tell Burnsey we'd go down. I reminded him of our conversation coming out of Wembley nine months later.
CJ Hamilton for Mansfield looked a decent larker. If we’re looking at players from the lower leagues he’d be worth having a look at.
**** sake.... Hull City remain hopeful following Reece Burke injury scare, positive update on Daniel Batty The defender was forced off with a knee injury during yesterday's 2-2 draw
