Mane appeal

    No mate you can accept the ban but appeal the length of the ban. Another example Gabriel red card for violent conduct against Costa. Ban accepted but length appealed - resulting in not a reduction in games but the card being completely overturned and Dean being demoted the following week for wrong decision <laugh>

    So given this maybe that's why LFC decided to appeal thinking it's worth a try.

    In that example they weren't appealing the red card. UEFA rules differ and there's no mandatory 3 match ban, the ban length is decided afterwards, and it was the decision to make it a 3 match ban that they were appealing there.

    Utter gobbledygook. The FA WERE appealing the length of the ban. FFS, the box of frogs has been opened again.

    Yes they were but not the length of a ban that had a mandatory length.

    As was pointed out to me earlier there are similar precedents that are relevant to your Mane appeal, but this isn't one of them.
