Not really bothered TBH. I can see how he'd fit in and provide a useful threat, but he seems also to be a bit made of glass these days. Also Judas.

Sorry but this line up is just ridiculous, no Tiote, Cabaye, Sissoko or Anita in our CM??? We're not going to ditch our four best CM's in one summer and have them all removed from the team. Even though Tiote's form has been poor for the past 12 months it's obvious he's very highly thought of by Pardew.

Darren Bent is 1/2 with Skybet to sign for Newcastle this summer.

I did wonder if that formation was supposed to be Newcastle, glad it's not just me.

There's pretty much zero chance of us playing 4-4-2. We played it when stretched last year and it was dire. As soon as the new players were introduced, we switched up to the 4-3-3. I don't know what formation is our best. Maybe 3-4-2-1?

    Krul

    Taylor, Colo, MYM

    Debuchy, Anita, Sissoko, Santon

    Ben Arfa, Cabaye

    Cisse

Even then I'd want the two Summer purples to be a CB to perhaps play as a 3 or just put pressure on Taylor (we need a big lad, but mobility is useful - Sakho, for example) and a CF to possible displace Cisse, but at least compliment him (Lukaku). Ideally bring in a few cheap/free, like Winston Reid form West Ham, Di Santo to replace Ameobi (not hinder Campbell) and a selection for the development side.

Can't say that signing him would excite me, can lead the line better than Cisse when played up top on his own but wouldn't be a major improvement to our squad other than to bolster our pool of strikers.

He'd be on big wages and would cost around 8-10 million I reckon so can't see it happening either to be fair.

Quite like that line up, pretty inventive and allows Cabaye & HBA to have a free reign without having to track back.

We need a pacey, powerful striker of the Lukaku mould (we won't get him so need to look elsewhere). Not sure who though, Benteke is the obvious choice but again I'm sure he'd be out of our reach.

No to Darren Bent for me, we would be better served spending on a younger and hungrier striker and on top of that, Bent is terrible up front with a strike partner because he prefers to charge at the defense without being joined by anybody else because the player has the vision of a man with one eye (situated in the middle of his face).

I said it could be "interesting". Never said it was anything more than a fantasy line up. Calm your tits.
