Rafa has a decent record against Mourinho. I think we will get spanked 4-0. They have Pogba and Ibra due back so the current incumbents will be keen to impress. He'll probably use this game to play Mitrovic and then say "see I told he was ****e".
Merino, Lacselles, Atsu, Dummett all missing for tomorrow... Merino is the main concern but hopefully Hayden will put in a good shift. With no though Atsu who'd your pick be on LW? - I'd like to see Aarons given a run out or Mitro uptop and Gayle in the Inside Left Forward position.
Really hope Aarons is given a bash if we're going to continue with the old 451. Mitro is a conversation I won't bother having, but I think Manure isn't the best game to start him in as any striker playing tomorrow will be largely anonymous. Don't see why we haven't given Gayle a run out at LW yet though. Has he lost that yard of pace that made him so effective in that position or something? With all those out its going to be damage limitation, I'll be relieved if we keep it down to 3
I've been thinking this as well, surely with Atsu's return of one goal and one assist in 11 games we can afford to try other options out there.
Deffo mate, I know it was a league cup team but Aarons looked incredible a couple of year back against the might of city. I think his delivery far outweighs Atsu's from the bits we've seen. And Gayle can finish better. I'm excited to see who takes that position to be fair!
Can't see Rafa playing Gayle on the left given his preference for attacking midfielders to track back. I'd certainly have Aarons on the bench if Atsu is out but I'd probably give Murphy a start ahead of him. I think Rafa will start Joselu in this game and I wouldn't be that opposed to that considering the opposition. I'd probably agree about not starting Mitrovic in this game.

Don’t expect anything from this game today by way of points, but please, please don’t let it be a thumping. I so hope we put up a real fight and make it bloody hard for them. Don’t mind defeat if we play well and maintain some pride. Come on the Toon.
