Never seen so many empty seats at OT before the final whistle. Not surprising how dull the game was. The players didn't perform but neither did the tactics help. Against sides that pack their own defence we need to be brave enough to leave men up to stretch the game and create space, not continually drop ten or eleven men behind the ball every time we lose possession.

It was almost predictable that United were going to be flat. Shame that they scored latish. I wanted an early wba goal to wake United up. Because we couldn’t get going and didn’t turn up. It’s been the story of the season. After a big performance the team would be flat in the next game. When we beat the RS I expected us to be flat against Sevilla. After beating City, players just strolled around. And deservedly got beaten.

Awfully match but this time I blame the players more than the manager.

    Unlucky today
Always been difficult playing well the week after you’ve won a cup final

I know you are being sarcastic but it wasn’t unlucky. It was the story of the season. Poor performances after a good one. When the team does not look like scoring, a sucker punch was always likely. The saving grace is that United only need about 4 points to be guaranteed CL next season.

BTW I think it is a bit disrespectful to City for the media to say: “Rodriguez gave City the title “ or “United defeat gifted their rivals the premiership “. City won the title through their excellence over a season. In fact I wonder whether they would have preferred to beat Swansea and Win it rather have all this crap being written.

Only saw the first 25mins today (will watch the rest after the Madrid game tonight) but if that is anything to go by I agree with Jose completely. No effort, no drive and no leaders on the pitch.
i hate to say it but PPLF hit the nail on the head, we played like last week was a cup final and that is piss poor mentality.

I just hope that the players are up for it next weekend otherwise Spurs will walk all over them. There is still a chance of a trophy but on the evidence of today it is a thin one.

If we don't win the FA Cup this season will be a total failure and a bit ****.

Jose need to give our players more freedom from start of the game not when the sh!t hit the fan at 2nd half .. am sick of his plan & starting slowly all time
WBA were worthy winners just for fact they showed more desire ..

Do you not think it funny that a manger who gives his team no freedom is slating them for playing with fear and no courage?

Easy to follow the sheep and blame the manager because the papers tell you, try watching the players instead.

There has to be a link it can't be just the players or just Mourinho. Occasionally it clicks and you look a decent side but more often than not you look devoid of ideas, the players play a very conservative game. Is it simply that they don't go and attack like Jose tells them to?

I watched the game yesterday and the way you were set up gave WBA a chance. Matic as the holding player I get but Herrera was also very deep throughout the game. Pogba and Sanchez played the same position and that left Mata isolated.
    It all like disjointed.
Lingard then played too high so you had the same problem as with Pogba on that was a big hole in the middle of the park.

Will the manager have the balls to attack Spurs? Will Rashford start?

Aye, it does seem like Mourinho is turning us into Chelsea. We perform reasonably well in the big games and cups (Sevilla excluded obviously), but unless we are challenging for the title it seems like we rarely give much of a **** in the league.

Increasingly our game plan relies on moments of quality from our big players, rather than having a genuine strategy to win, and they don't deliver them consistently enough.

Yes to both, but only in the second half.

It's funny if Jose doesn't realise he's the cause of their fear.
