Is that another way of saying "we were **** poor"?

It's Wengerspeak. They've been brainwashed by his bollocks which is why they now accept 4th place as the optimum target every season. The club has no ambition any more.

So many arsenal fans are ****ing ******s. Winning an fa cup can do that to children.

Any goon who expects another mid table finish from united should prepare disappointment.

As I said, it's a good time to mock United so enjoy it.

By the way, Arsenal's goal difference is one better than United's. United's answer to that was signing Falcao. Arsenal's answer was signing Danny Welbeck while Wenger refereed a charity game (do you think that if he'd been on Arsenal duty on transfer deadline day that you might have got Falcao?). That's the difference between the two clubs and the reason why even whilst United are floundering it's almost certain that they will win another title before Arsenal do. You know that and it's why you're so bitter.

Chin up.

No, the difference is that Arsenal weren't prepared to pay 354k per week for him.

I think that shows how desperate Utd are, especially with old man Persie crocked again and Rooney looking more interested in the next visit to the OAP brothel than he is on his football.

Personally, and I don't just think it's because you sold him to us, but Utd were mugs to sell Welbeck.

I'm sure your opinion of Welbeck has gone up dramatically since Arsenal signed him as you're desperate for a striker!

Arsenal can't afford to pay big wages for the top players. That's true. A decade of mediocrity is to blame.

354k now? The 48th different figure so far.

Arsenal fans 2 weeks ago...

Falcao > all

Arsenal fans now

Welbeck > falcao.

Logic. Its done a runner. <ok>

Anyway piskies clearly astro :bandit:

Frank Lampard has revealed why he quit England – and it wasn’t to do with his declining performances.

Instead, the former Chelsea midfielder blames Luke Shaw for his international retirement after a conversation between the pair exposed that the England youngster did not know who Tony Adams was.

“I was having a chat with Luke Shaw and I mentioned Tony Adams and he didn’t seem to know who I was talking about,” Lampard, who retired from international football last month, told The Sun.

Surely not? Adams captained Arsenal to four league titles during a two-decade spell in north London and earned 66 England caps - albeit he retired from international football when Shaw was only five.

“I said: ‘Are you winding me up?’ And he said: ‘Who did he play for?’ I knew then then it was time to retire,” added Lampard, who is currently on loan at Manchester City from New York FC.

From Uk Eurosport. <laugh><rofl><doh> THIS is the guy the British media rates above Gibbs? <laugh>

Yeah, Luke is known to be a bit thick. Not as thick as the person who sanctioned the £27 mill fee though.

280k per week reported today. Also loan fee is now down from 6million to 5million. Still a lot of money mind.

Seen 450k the other day. Some gimp on not606 somehow pulled a 100million out of his arse too.

Arsenal are paying welbeck 150k anyway so they are not in a position to talk.

Falcao must be on £250k at least given his salary before was tax free. £5m loan fee is another £100k. So £350k is the minimum I would have thought. Unless he is trying to save Utd for charitable reason?

His salary in monaco is irrelevent. Do you think others go... Ah but i paid no tax in Monaco though.... Stay in monaco then.

He would have been well aware the rest of the world pays tax so im sure he enjoyed his tax free year.

We are paying him 180k. Before tax.

Bullshit.
You are paying Rooney 300k. Falcao himself, and everyone in the world, knows that Falcao is better than Rooney and knows how much Rooney is being paid. It is EXTREMELY unlikely that Falcao's agent didn't get him on at least 300k, but more likely higher. 350k is a decent bet, but there's no way in hell you are paying him 180k before tax.

You must be a ****ing lunatic to even BEGIN to think that.

Lol these United fans really are getting touchy, haha, poor bastards, they have a big chip on their shoulders after they've become a mid-table team.

It's hilarious when you think of it, all this big talk of mighty United, yet they still haven't managed a single win this season, against the mighty likes of MK Dons, Sunderland, Burnely, and Swansea (whom they lost to at home).

If United simply took on his Monaco salary, why did negotiations go beyond the transfer deadline? Monaco had to get him off their books at whatever cost. I suspect they're still paying some of his wages which isn't unusual in a loan deal.

And yet here we are on a Sunday morning discussing United in a thread titled Manchester United...on the Arsenal board!

I highly doubt Welbeck is being paid 150k a week. In fact I'd go as far as to call that total nonsense. And you'd have to be pretty dim to believe it :p

150k would make him our best paid player above ozil and Sanchez...

Feel free to prove it then sunshine. If your so adamant.

Otherwise shut up about things that dont concern you

Good. You have got my point. Welbecks on 175k in actual fact. Pretty made you guys pay him 130k a week.

If i am honest though tge 75k a week you pay him is good business. Dont get too many players of welbecks ilk on 250k a week....

Having had a quick google the only figure I can find for Welbeck is that we where not willing to pay him his 105k a week wages, so he is highly likely to be on less than that. I can't imagine him being on over 100k.

Edit: found a source at 75k which seems far more likely for his ability.

Shut up ugandan. Your clubs won 1 solirary trophy in a decade and your fans have already called for his head over transfers...

I would worry about arsenal if i was you. United will be jisr fine. Regardless of where we finish we will remain the biggest club in the land. Everyone wants to be like united.
