They'd also get away with it if they had CM's who where very confident on the ball and allowed them to keep posession for the majority of games. But there CM department is just **** all round...
Even Rosicky's good at defending. As for Mata today, he got an assist, but a fairly simple one thanks to Stoke badly clearing the ball to him, but overall, as predicted, he wasn't that effective and wasn't running the show because Moyes decided to play him wide, at times too he was coming in central, right next to Rooney. Fact is, Mata-RVP-Rooney combo just doesn't work, one of them will have to drop out.
Mata's limitations should be clearer after the Stoke game. They are why I was never a huge fan (even when I was being berated for that view) and why Mourinho isn't a big fan. He has his good moments but it requires too many other players to make sacrifices to their game.
You do know that Wenger is a fan of Mata and he was in for him at one point? Do you know more than Wenger? We all know how you hate it when posters on here say anything contrary to what Wenger says.....
I may be mistaken but weren't we in for Mata the season Fabregas left? The move would have made sense then, not anymore.
The fact is Mata is class, not that I'd want him for Arsenal now. Wenger too thinks he's class. But I find it amusing that TT is going on about Mata, a player that Wenger rates yet attacks posters that do not agree with Wengers opinions or decisions.
I don't rate players the way most of you do where you seem to have to think a player is great at everything or terrible at everything. I've never said he was a "Bad" player, I just pointed out that he was not the bees knees that everyone was making him out to be. I certainly don't think he was worth what Chelsea paid for him, and I don't think he is worth what United paid for him, nor is he a cure to their problems, he may just make them worse. I don't know what Wenger might have made of Mata, or whether he would have changed how he plays, or just how much he wanted Mata, and I suspect neither does anyone else, except Wenger himself.
Wenger rated him highly and wanted him after fabs left. He also showed his distaste at Chelsea selling manure Mata as knew his quality would make a difference. He is also a regular pick for Spain, that is arguably the hardest midfield to get in and one of the best of all-time. If circumstances were different for Wenger ie no mega rich club like chelsea, then he most probably would have been an Arsenal player.
Mata is a world class player, anyone trying to deny the quality of Mata, or trying to put him down, put simple, is a ******, end of story. Just look at his stats, one of the top (if not the top, I'm not sure) goal creators in the EPL in the past 2 seasons, let's not start talking out of our asses just because he's moved to United and suddenly turn him into an okayish player, him, Ozil, and Silva rank as the best 3 creative attacking midfielders in the league. Furthermore, just because Mo doesn't like a player or feels that player can't fit in his system, doesn't make that player bad, how many top quality players have Chelsea ruined over the years, especially during Mo's time? for f**ks sake, Madrid didn't see Ozil in their plans when they signed Bale, and offloaded him, does that suddenly make Ozil lesser of a player?
Some nice stats for United fans, you guys have been breaking so many records this season: Stoke earn first win over Man Utd since 1984 Swansea win first ever game at Old Trafford Newcastle win at Man Utd for first time since 1972 Everton achieve same feat for first time since 1992 West Brom win at Old Trafford for first time since 1978 Breaking records week in week out, though I don't think they're going to be making a DVD about these accomplishments. Oh just for the record, for that **** UnitedinRed who always makes excuses, Rooney played in the Everton game, RVP in the Newcastle game, both Rooney-RVP played at the WB game, and both RVP-Rooney AND Mata (better than Ozil according to the ****) played in today's loss against Stoke. But hey, it's all because Kagawa isn't being properly used.
Speaking of Kagawa, am I the only one getting fed up of listening to United fans moaning and constantly bringing the ****er up? They act like he's some super quality player, but everytime he plays, and even when he's been played in his position, he's done **** all, yet United fans continue to bring him up.
Its all there fans have got mate . * Excuses , when the rooney one wears out the switch to the Van Judas one , when that fails they go all Mata on your ass. What happens when the Kagawa dont pan out ............only they will know. The Phil Jones excuse ?? *not daveunited
These excuses are always handy, when you start to drop down the league you can always blame the Ramsey thing or the Walcot problem or in future maybe you will miss Ozil or Kos, they could be a good excuse
What is it with you lot and this bitterness? he did **** all for you and spent his time there on the physio`s table. Why do you miss him so and hate him?
take a look at the table . we dont miss him at all . You are welcome to the knobber . he fits right in . Its strange how someone just looks MORE of a tw@t , the moment they put on a united shirt . Look at Mata . Chelsea shirt = normal United shirt = tw@t . must be the shirt .
heard all this from untitedinfred yesterday . where is he by the way .? Not seen him here today . #moyesin4eva
Really can`t remember any genuin Arsenal supporter calling him untill about 18 months ago, seems bitter to me
, when you start to drop down the league ....blah blah blah This seems to be a popular opinion among most football supporters
