I think that the real concern for United fans is that Rooney turns 30 next year. At this point, he is one injury away from an end to his career. A deal at this point will make him 33 before they can get him off the books. I just wonder if a smarter move would have been to sell him to improve the war chest? I think SAF would have done that. 50M-80M and a lot of room on the wage budget, and take a hit for a year or two, might have been lot smarter. Chelsea can afford any striker they want, giving them Rooney isn't going to make them that much stronger.
I wouldn't have paid more than that for him, but I wouldn't have paid 80M for Bale either. Chelsea don't care, and don't forget the home grown rule. Chelsea have some issues in that regard.
That wee tramp doesn't even deserve that much! I'd give her a half bottle of vodka, make a sex tape and send it to her family
Nandos = budget? I think not! If you get a proper meal for two in a Nandos it can set you back a small fortune!
Trying to find that thread with the mouthy United fan who was posting a load of bullsh!t yesterday about overtaking Arsenal and all that. Can't find it though :/
Looks like they are going to have problems fitting Mata into their side. He is not a wide player and if he keeps cutting in, he leaves their RB exposed. And Mata does not have the speed and athleticism to go up and down the wing in order to cover. Also, United do not have the required DM's to cover for him, like for example what Flamini does when Cazorla is not filling in.
Moyes hasn't got a clue what to do with Mata, he picked the wrong team to join. Any top quality manager would know how to use him. If he came to us, Wenger would bring the best out of him. But sometimes, players are just incompatible with certain managers and the way they set their teams out.
Not sure mate. It would be straight choice of Mata or Cazorla for me. I would not want both of those in wide positions because they do not have much pace and would clog up the middle when they keep cutting in. Ozil will always be the number 10.
That's true. I's like to see Cazorla in a central position. He's been there a few times for us and has been very good. You can't have Ozil and Cazorla in the centre together?
I thought they would struggle today when I saw the starting lineup. On paper, Rooney, RVP and Mata looks like a fearsome combination but Moyes got it tactically wrong today.
Man Utd simply do not have the CM's or DM's to play those three and get away with it. We are kinda of lucky that we have Wilshere,Flamini and Ramsey (when they are fit). They have the energy to cover a lot of ground.
