Agree. To me Giggs put in a few telling tackles and was a more worthy MOM than Carrick who also did not really do anything wrong.
I thought Anderson did quite well when he came on. He played one sublime pass to Evra. Had it been Gerrard playing that ball the Liverpool fans would be demanding an OBE for services to Hollywood passing.
Nah don't be silly, Gerrard does it often Anderson once, a big difference, also, thought of Anderson when I seen the McDonalds patches on the jerseys inspiring the next generation.. ..of fat bastards
That was the only highlight of his game today, the rest were useless or bad, almost led to Cleverly getting injured trying to recover a wayward pass.
You rang? The game was basically a summary of last season, comfortable yet unconvincing. The good things: Vidic didn't get hurt, Evra played great hopefully proving we don't need Baines, Zaha seemed to have a good work ethic off the ball, and RVP looks like he's going to continue scoring goals like he did last season. The bad things: Rafael got hurt, we still need improvements in the midfield, Giggs' may play more than he should this season. (He should be used as an impact sub the majority of the time IMO). Nothing else really stood out as good or bad.
Good things, Adnan got to play today which COULD mean he is in the managers mind for first team. Bad things, i agree with all.
Yeah I was talking to one of my work mates about Adnan this morning and I hope he gets this season with the first team and we don't send him out. Some players are good enough to be bled into the first team without a loan and I think Adnan is one of them. e's a fantastic prospect along with Nick Powell imo.
That's the most important thing imo. If Moyes can keep the comfortable yet unconvincing vibe going, we should do fine in the league. If we'd beaten Wigan 2-0 in the same manner with SAF in charge, no one would have batted an eyelid.
If we had a repeat of the routine 'boring' wins of last season, with no flamboyance, that will do me...
