For those people who haven't been able to see any of this action since, I'm sorry I couldn't find longer highlights of this from Youtube. There are longer ones but the quality is awful. This at least shows some great Saints moves. If I'm honest, this is my favourite match of the League Cup run so far this year, because there were times when we were making Arsenal look a bit silly. Only 2+ minutes, but very nice minutes:

That Arsenal match, when Long missed a couple, I thought he's going to bang in loads of goals this season if he keeps getting chances like that, but it has been a bit of a struggle. Credit to him though, never fusses and always gives 100%. Amazing to think we still haven't conceded a goal in this tournament, when you look at who we have played. One of the hardest runs to a final, makes going out to Sheff Utd & Sunderland in previous years look even worse!!!!!

Got to say well done to the commentator of the Liverpool 2nd leg.

Part of what makes seeing the goal again so good is the commentary has to be good to go with it. Not some Liverpool-centric 'the Liverpool fight is over' but all about the winning side

 

Tbh, the NBC commentary, from Peter Drury, was even better. It was almost as if he couldn't hide his joy. He shouted about 'this buoyant maritime city, with its wonderful one club'. Anyone would have thought he was a fan. Here's an example. Sadly, the video is cack, but the commentary for the goal is great. BTW, unlike the SKY commentators, he knew Stephen's tackle was a good one, straight away:

Mourinho having a moan about the fixture list with us having 2 weeks off and United having 3 games. Am amazed that he took the United job being so apparently ignorant of the EPL and fixture congestion. Too many games means that you have been successful....our period of R and R means we have gone out of 2 cups. Perhaps he should try that and see what his fans make of it. Until now, we have also had fixture congestion and Puel has fewer top class players to rotate than Mourinho. Put the violin away, Jose.

I will try and limit my attempts at humour, and start using the obligatory blue print to emphasise future tongue in cheek posts, so as not to offend.

 

Thought that meant they covered the pitch in thousands and thousands of tiny tiles. Would B&Q get the job or another well known DIY outlet that is available.
