No shots on target for Manure, we are looking solid as a team defensively. I agree that Long should come on later to run in behind them on the break.

 

Long in for Elia at some point soon, I think. We seem clearly to be looking to steal one here. Long still give us pace up front, with fresh legs and probably offers a little more on defense as we hopefully try to close out that game as well.

 

Id bring long on for elia two up vs their three cbs. Maybe bring tadic on later for Davis or jwp

 

Well Utd's options are pretty much already out there, on the field. Not like Chelsea, who had the cavalry to call upon (and still couldn't break us down).

 

Has anyone seen phil dowds contact lenses?.....he seems to be not seeing too well.

I think I'd pay several hundred quid for United to boss the 2nd half but then we nick it 1-0 in the last minute of added time. I can just picture Van Gaal's face.

 

Not too disappointed tbh, sure United have looked the better team over all, but we should have had a couple of decent free kicks we never got and their best chance came after a handball. Ref hasn't been awful, but he has also missed (or decided not to give I guess) a lot that would have gone against the home team.

 

Not nicked one like that in a while, and I can't think of a team that would deserve to be on the wrong end of one of those more than United.

 

Van Gaal only has one facial expression, so it's not difficult to picture...even his attempts at looking happy leave him appearing borderline furious.

We're getting pushed back and pressed a little too much for my liking, though. Don't know if we can see out the game like this. But probably no major change is needed. Just have to tighten up a tad.
