Giggs and Rooney have let us down tonight, I was really counting on Rooney.

Thank god we did so well in the first 3/4 of the season, otherwise we'd be royally ****ed right now. Another **** performance. Not a disaster with our lead, but the last weeks have certainly had a good stab at leaving a sour taste to our season.

agreed, hopefully this defeat will be a warning call for our player's, we need to start getting back to our best or we could let the gap close.

It's similar to Yaya's runs, just raw pace and power. That was like Fifa.

Why did Sir Alex not make any subs earlier? Ryan Giggs should of been subbed, he was frustrated all game.

I still think Sir Alex could of started the game with Nani or Valencia because Welbeck is good, he does offer alot but he's not a winger.

Also Kakawa should of been on around 60 minutes.

terrible team tactics, i think Sir Alex got his tactics and team wrong, we played like we're away.

I won't have a laptop to post with if we do, nearly found its way into the wall when Aguero scored.

Really wanted to see us win this one, was our last real exciting game of the season and our performance didn't match up to it.

This. Most people underestimate how hard it can be to remain composed in the box, particularly when the opposition players are giving you a cheeky nudge. Most players would snatch at the shot, overrun it, or just take a dive and hope the ref gets them out of jail.

Balance and composure in the box is what has made Messi the best in the world.

They wern't giving him a cheeky nudge they went to dive in, he ran passed them put in the net. Well played by Aguero yes but could have been dealt with.

    Giggs ****. Rooney ****. Welbeck ****.

Why is Fergie still persisting in Giggs? What's to gain in playing him tonight? His career is on it's very last knockings, give someone like Cleverley or Kagawa a chance tonight. It's those that will be fighting against City over the next few years. I'm sick to death of seeing Giggs.

Rooney, as usual, either plays a blinder or has a stinker. He's 27 and is as inconsistent now as he ever was.

Welbeck, not United quality. Certainly not for a regular starting 11, or for a game like tonight. He's quick, aggressive and passionate, but there's **** loads of players like that about. 2 goals all season, 1 of which was against Madrid. He had a great opportunity in the first 10 mins in a 3 on 2 situation where he could have slid Rooney in on goal. Easy to see, yet he chooses to put it to the left towards RVP and take all of the momentum out of the move. Can't fault his desire but not good enough when it matters.

RVP, can't slate him too much. Got the assist V Sunderland and great effort tonight which led to the goal. Just wish he'd catch a break in front of goal.

Alright, that's it. I'd like to see more of Powell, Hernandez, Welbeck, Kagawa, Smalling, Cleverly, Jones and Buttner from now on. We've played RvP a little too many times and Giggs, out of position, as well. Let's watch the new boys dance for the rest of the season.

yep, it wa a great goal, a great finish but also terrible defending from us.

hopefully this is a kick in the teeth for us and we need to wake up and start scoring goals again otherwise we'll drop more points.

    we need to improve.

Shouldn't being outplayed by Chelsea twice and dumped out the cup have been the wake up call? They need reminding that despite what everyone says we haven't actually won **** yet.

Time to give Hernandez a spot alongside van Persie until the rest of the season. Rooney has been below average all season.

Giggs was ****. How he played 90 was shocking.

What's happened to RVP? Just looks slow and totally off the pace..

I don't agree with your assesment of Welbeck. Welbeck was making an impact in the midfield as we know, Giggs offers nothing in terms of defending. Welbeck, if you see as a striker, isn't going to offer many goals, but I see him now evolving as an attacker with a free role and tbh, he was way better tonight than Giggs or Rooney.

Has played too much. I found it strange RVP came out with this http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21988080 which obviously states that he's tired, yet Fergie insists he's not?

RVP wasn't bad today, he had a good game, he did make that wonderful free kick for our goal, we just need to start creating more chances for him, in the last few games, when did he have a proper chance? none thats how bad we are atm going forward.

Giggs was frustrated all game, we should of put kakawa on for him earlier
