Theres maybe 3 or 4 better goal scoring strikers in the league than Hernandez. 2 play for the same club, another for Liverpool.
Hernandez contributes nothing but goals and we don't play a 442 I'm sure there are clubs where he could be a top player, but it's not ours
Goals win games so effectively hes pretty damn good at contributing the most important thing in football. In all seriousness though, we'd never sell you our 3rd best striker. That would be mental. You'd probably win the league.
Our french players have 2 big play off games, hopefully they win them, because if they lose and fail to qualify for the WC, they will be devastated and it could effect their form. Either way as Wenger said, those players will most likely return tired because these are 2 very big international games for France, do or die. When club football resumes, it's Southampton home, Marseille at home in Europe, Cardiff away, and Hull at home in mid week, followed by Everton at home, followed by Napoli away, followed by City at away, followed a week later with Chelsea at home. So yeah....the pressure is definitely going to be on as soon as club football returns with 2 games every week until we finally get a week off after we play City, a week off until we play Chelsea.
I actually agree about Negrado. Suarez has to be number 1 - missed 5 games yet is joint top scorer. Aguero 2nd Sturridge 3rd Remy 4th?? Rooney and RVP battling it out for 5th and 6th???
Suarez is a lot like Berbatov was for us. Scores 100's against the worst sides but goes on a magical journey to the land of nowhere against better sides.
Yeah like when he tore you apart and put a hatrick on a plate for Kuyt at OT. Suarez is a work horse, put's in a shift every game - his goals are simply a bonus.
Oh please, don't try to downplay Suarez, he is one of the best strikers in the world, and the current best striker in the league. Assuming he doesn't score against the 'better' sides, he has still scored enough goals for Liverpool to be 2nd and ABOVE you. Seriously, what's all this talk of getting it done against the 'big' teams, yeah it's good and important, but it's not the criteria for getting all success, ****ing hell, this argument is getting so old now. And Suarez has scored against you, against us, and against many other big teams. So get your facts straight.
That was some time ago now. Hardly relevant. Interestingly enough berbatov got a hattrick against you guys as well. Its almost as if you've helped prove my point.
Not even slating him. all goals count. However some strikers score against the big sides in the big games and others dont. For every Henry, Drogba and van Persie theres a Suarez and Berbatov.
Oh dear me.....It probably also never dawned on you, that maybe Suarez didn't perform as much in big games (this is assuming you're correct, and you're not) is because the team he's playing in isn't to the same quality as the teams other top strikers are? Your comments are as bad as Toledo saying RVP isn't good enough for us, stop being a hater.
The difference is Suarez is world class and show's it continuously on the big stage...eg player of the tournament in the recent Copa De America etc. Stats like 197 goals in 333 games for clubs and 38 goals in 71 for country is just about as good as it gets. But keep dreaming UiR
