Clearly can't read where I said we have to step it up, and the Chavski and Sunderland games weren't even bad performances.
Saying we have to step it up is stating the obvious, how many times have you been saying that? How many times have Arsenal players themselves been saying that? Talk is very cheap, you can say we have to step it up, show fight, whatever, it doesn't change the reality, that for all the empty talk, we consistently put out bad performances, consistently lose, and consistently drop off the table from the other top teams, that's what happens week in week out, so yes, the rest is blind optimism because it goes against the reality of what's happening. We were saying we have to step it after Norwich, just 2 weeks ago, and yet we've lost again, and put in a very pitiful performance, again, United won't get an easier game than that all season, and we were just as bad attacking wise against Chelsea, and Shalke, so all this talk of stepping up is clearly not happening, we're just stepping down.
The Sunderland performance was a very poor attacking display, the same with Chelsea. And even for the sake of argument assuming they were 'good' games, out of those 2 'good' home games we only got 1 point, lol, so you can be happy with two 'good' games in which we got 1 point.
Let's not forget folks, Wigan beat us as well 2-1 at home near the end of last season, so we can laugh at Spurs, they haven't lost yet though, but Wigan did beat us.
The fact that we're looking for Everton to draw, is all the proof you need that we're not title contenders, lol, I rest my case.
How bad are Sunderland these days? I saw some of our fans calling for Martin O'Neill to take over from Wenger last year.
After all it's not as if to win the title need other teams to drop points. FFS or should we be happy that Everton, a team that could trouble the top teams this season be gaining points.
The only top 4 team Everton are going to trouble is us, lol, you're kidding yourself if you think they're going to pose a threat to United, Chelsea, and City.
