There's still plenty of time for us to turn our form around, but it's going to need to happen soon and we are going to need to be far more consistent as you say. Given how this season has gone it wouldn't surprise me to see any of the top four have a little poor run of results and drop away or have a little good run of results and pull away at the top. Plenty more twists and turns left I think.

There are only one or two managers in the world better than Wenger remember. He's a proven winner. Look at the stats and facts. Be careful what you wish for. He's keeping us from relegation more than likely.

How many times has a title been won on GD? It may or may not make a difference. Whether we can make up the points gap is more important!

We shall have to wait and see, anyways, from my view, I think it's over, I believe we have no chance of winning the title, it's just a fight for 2nd for me now. Not gonna keep believing in false hopes and let this clown of a manager take us on a false ride anymore.

It's over for Wenger, no way he can come back from another bottle job at least from the fans, the fan base is turning on him, long may it continue and we force him out.

He is a specialist in underachievement.

How many seasons of this over and over do you think it would take before someone like afcftw turned on him? I reckon at least another 8.

We've even given LVG the opportunity to again say that he thinks United can win the league this season.

The circumstances under which we lost today has really frustrated me, so much <doh> all around the team, but throughout the season we've done well against the teams at the top of the table and been inconsistent against the teams further down, it's the dropped points against the lower teams that in previous seasons we've been so consistent in that is costing us a place at the top of the table. Our inability to kill off teams who are technically inferior to us is so annoying to watch. A lot of it comes down to not taking our chances, our finishing throughout the team hasn't been good enough this season.

We still have to play at the Etihad, Goodison, WHL AND Upton Park. Sorry but it's time to be realistic. In this terrible form and with such a mentally weak team, top 3 is probably the best we can hope for.

No great surprise to me as we have not been playing well as a team for some weeks. Looks like another 4th place IF we are lucky. Who was tapped up before this game? Wonder what AW will come up with to dismiss this debacle. Can't wait.

    Time he went?

If you win your next 2, you are right in it still. Your form is poor and you need to turn it round quickly

We might beat Swansea if we're lucky, and draw against you if we're really lucky. It's all over. We should just concentrate on getting that automatic UCL spot.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, speaking to BBC Sport: "We played with a lot of intensity, I cannot fault our commitment and spirit and desire but I feel we conceded too easy goals.

"I think after the game we have to be positive and prepare for the next one. We have another game on Wednesday, they come thick and fast and you want to keep a good mentality.

"We did fight until the end, we had a lot of the ball but I think we could avoid the goals with better concentration.

"I am disappointed because we lost the game but we will focus on the next one. This is a fight where you go to the next one and aim to come back even stronger."

The guy just proves exactly why he needs to go. Cannot fault our commitment and desire? What ****ing commitment and desire, we were terrible, if we showed desire and real commitment, we would have won the game easily.

I swear the day he leaves I'm going to be so happy.

That's all well and good but this is our annual collapse,we do this every season, your assuming other teams are going to do the same,I just can't see it.

We don't look like doing that at the moment, but you're right. It could all turn around still yet.

Fortunately we have two things that give us the advantage against Swansea.

    1) we have one of the best managers in the world who'll have us geed up and ready to win.

    2) we play Swansea at HOME and we score in almost every single home game (apart from the 33% that we dont) so that guarantees us victory near enough

I agree league is not won on goal diff alone. However, look at the history of the league and check whether any team has won the league with an inferior goal differnce to the other top 4. What this tells us is we are not scoring and are conceding cheap goals. This is not championship winning form. I think it is Spuds to lose now. We need to get our acts together as we might drop out all together.. I can see us losing at Everton, West Ham, Spurs and City on current form.
