We should have way too much for Hull, especially as our best players are rested to play in the cup competitions, so I'm hopeful for another Wembley final for Stan Jr. Obviously in a one off big game Fellaini will be wheeled out by the Especial One <laugh>

    C'mon Hull!

Seriously I hope we can do Southampton but they'll be tough, if it is a Liverpool vs Utd final let's hope it's a good game for a change.

I thought we were excellent last night, bar the obligatory defensive/goalkeeper **** up.

You do wonder why Rooney, Shaw & Mkhitaryan are deemed cup players though?

Bit of a conundrum in that while it's fairly obvious that Pogba comes back in for Carrick we've got Mata, Rooney, Mkhitaryan and Martial all vying for three places and all worthy of a place.

Rashford gets a mention too as a possible starter but probably sub. Lingard is definitely to come off the bench for now though.

Good to see the crowd don't share Joe's opinion of Schweinsteiger. In eight minutes he showed more than Fellaini could in a whole match, bar the elbowing.

Mourinho's making himself look like a bitter twat. Possibly because he's a bitter twat.

Still think Mata in a three with Pogba and Hererra / Carrick, with Rooney up top and Micky & Martial wide attackers will work well. Zlat may disagree tho...

After months of persistently slagging off Rooney I have to say that he has really upped his game in the last few weeks - hopefully the stink in the papers has returned some fire to his belly - he has definitely got his spark back, playing quick football and plenty of mouth too - just what he needs. I'm off for some humble pie for elevenses...........

Why should it take weeks on the bench for him to pull his finger out though?

No idea, perhaps he just needed a kick up the arse to get his head focussed on his game - might even be called shrewd management

Nope, it's all about Mkhitaryan. Rooney needs someone creative/dynamic with the ability for quick one-touch football to bring the best out in him. I've credited Rooney when he's played well, but it's also my opinion that he will continue to play well as long as Mkhytarian is there next to him. It's taken a heck of a lot of pressure off him. Mata is class but isn't as quick as Mkhitaryan. Personally I'd play all 3.

Shaw as well deserves some recognition. Made all the difference between Sunday and last night.
