I'm very flattered that you've decided to make this your match thread.

Spurs v United games are rarely dull affairs and I think we'll be in for a real cracker on Sunday.

    BALE ON UNITED:

Gareth Bale has underlined the importance of our thrilling 3-2 win at Manchester United in September as we prepare to meet the Premier League leaders again on Sunday.

The flying winger scored a fantastic goal as we secured our first victory at Old Trafford since 1989.

Jan Vertonghen opened the scoring and Gareth made it 2-0 as we took the game by the scruff of the neck.

As expected, United hit back for 2-1, Clint Dempsey scored what turned out to be the winner for 3-1 before United made it 3-2 – those final three goals in the space of four breathtaking minutes at the start of the second half.

“That win stood us in good stead,” said Gareth. “It gave us confidence and belief to do what we’ve done so far this season.”

United arrive at the Lane on Sunday sitting top of the Premier League by seven points from Manchester City.

It a clash of top in-form teams – United have won nine of their last 10, while we’re fourth after putting together seven wins and two draws in our last 10 in the Premier League.

“We haven’t lost in a while and confidence is high,” added Gareth. “Okay, it was a scrappy game and a disappointing result at QPR, but we’re all looking forward to United. It’s a big test and will show where we are as a team.

“We’ll continue to do what we’ve been doing and hopefully we’ll get the three points.”

Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United (Sunday, 16:00 GMT)

I think this will be another close game and I wouldn't mind betting that Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson would take a point now.

Tottenham are fourth and playing extremely well - and they won at Old Trafford earlier in the season.

Yes, Sandro is injured and Emmanuel Adebayor has gone to the Africa Cup of Nations but United will still have to deal with Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon.

Ferguson has got the depth in squad to counter that, though. He picked an attacking team against Liverpool last weekend but I don't think he will do the same at White Hart Lane.

He will tailor his team for the opposition and that might include stopping Bale by picking Antonio Valencia down United's right. We have seen Valencia can play right-back and, if you have got a right-sided midfield player who is good going forward and defensively, then why wouldn't you play him against Spurs?

United will unleash Robin van Persie and there have been some classic games between these two sides but I see it being a cagey afternoon.

I suspect Andre Villas-Boas will pack his midfield and I don't see there being much space for either side.

Wonder who'll start at CB, Rafael has played quite well against Bale in the past and I'm sure Valencia will play in front of him providing cover. Evra has played quite well this season, but I'm not sure who'll play on the left in front of him, my guess is either Kagawa, Welbeck, or Nani. At CB we struggled in the loss earlier in the season because Evans/Rio couldn't handle the pace/power of people running at them. That's something Vidic has struggled with in the past. Although he hasn't seen much game time, I wouldn't be super surprised to see Smalling get a start due his pace.

With Sandro out injured (possibly for the rest of the season) along with Kaboul & Gallas and Adebayor at the ACON, this is how I think AVB will line-up his Spurs team against United on Sunday:

    Lloris

    Walker Dawson Vertonghen Assou-Ekotto

    Parker Dembele

    Lennon Dempsey Bale

    Defoe

I think the game will go ahead, unless the weather takes a turn for the worse in the next 24 hours.

But as I'm wearing a t-shirt and shorts at the moment here in Israel I'm probably not the best person to ask.
