Utd looked good first 15 mins, the rest of the first half was all Swansea. 2nd half i thought Utd were unlucky and at times Swansea were doing their best to hold on, and they did, games in the prem are not always easy, good point in the end for Swansea. As for Roo what can you say, absolute abysmal, nothing went right for him at all and was rightly subbed. (feel sorry for Newcastle).
Read the first page of this thread. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/185856-Who-the-hell-are-you-playing-next Nobody underestimated you or assumed three points. Only Viva Rio has been unfair towards you. We all said before that game we needed to be at our best to win and we weren't. Its not really odd to be focusing on what we could have done better.
hhh Sir Alex did made me laugh by his comment have to admit .. a bit exaggeration will not hurt .. hhh .. he must have been frustrated by the result
Should have won with the chances we had but credit to Swansea for getting a draw. As others have already said, Rooney was just awful and should have been subbed earlier. Ashley Williams should have been sent off for what he did but Fergie's comments about RVP being lucky to still be alive were a tad over the top.
Could it have killed van Persie? No. Was it deliberate? Yes. Two points lost or one gained? Not sure yet, we should have won on possession and chances created but ballsed it up so two dropped probably. Fair play Swans, good point well earned. I don't know why sad cretin Liverpool and Chelsea fans celebrating every time we drop a point continues to surprise me but it just does, I suppose that's what having a life does.
Defenders regularly clear balls after a whistle has been blown, to be on the safe side. He wasn't cautious maybe but nothing there to definitely say he aimed for his head.
Apart from the bit where he looked down, paused, took aim and booted it at van Persie's head from a yard you're right, absolutely nothing to suggest it was deliberate.
The main thing is that RVp is still alive. We don't need another deathball incident; especially just before Xmas
At best it was a very unsporting gesture from Williams. At worst it could have done some damage. Whether it couyld have crippled or killed RVP I am not sure but SAF is right to highlight these incidents. When you are a kciking a ball so near to someone's head (from the back and who was not expecting) you might end up with something most nasty than you expected. But bl**dy 2 points lost. Rooney had a mare of a match. We have enough chances to win two matches. You never know how this could come back to haunt us. 4 points ahead at Xmas is not bad.
I can understand people taking the piss I would be to if a different manager had said that. Londons only appears to be having the time of his life with it. No need to call for him to be kicked in the head though!
Or just have a good laugh at how easily SAF wums them. Ashley Williams is the only one to come out of the whole thing with any credit imo. SAF has broken more experienced men (Keegan, Wenger, Benitez etc), so well done to Williams for keeping his head under the pressure
It was a fantastic ploy from Fergie to make everyone focus on what he said because United were very wasteful in our chances yesterday and it was a deflection tactic from the gaffer to take the spotlight away from the players. The media, opposition fans, etc are all talking about what he said so its worked for him.
