Just like I predicted, depay in the middle and Mata on the right. Who is van gaal deceiving? He is playing 4-4-2 pretending to be 4-3-3. Depay can't dictate game in the middle so he is more or less a second striker. Are we going to drop points just last last season before van gaal do the right thing.
First 10 done. What's everyone's thoughts? You can tell we have a lot of new faces. There's a lack of cohesion in the team at the minute. Spurs have had the best chance. The only chance really. Depay seems to have a free role, neither an AM nor wide forward. Not worked so far.
It's not worked so far but it's early. Worst case, mata and depay swap. Tbh mata is better at holding up and feeding players so it would make sense, depays pace would be more useful In wider areas, though it's even better from the left.
Not really, they've come forward s few times and split the defence already. They certainly carry a threat, more than us so far.
Insane stuff. I dont mind Mata on tge right IF Herrera was playing AM and have either Depay or Young on the left. Really not difficult at all.
@Treble That link I gave you seems to keep cutting out This one seems better http://www.stadium-live.biz/Channel22.html But there are loads to choose from here http://www.streamhub.hk/watch/9686/Manchester-United-vs-Tottenham-Hotspur
Darmian does well against Kane. Probably been our best player so far. I would take mata off right now, put Herrera on, switch depay to the left and young to the right with Herrera central. Herrera is more likely to come back for the ball and we need someone willing to get stuck in and force something.
Mata on the ball and immediately central. Means only Darmian won't wide and we are closed off quickly
Depays not so much out of position as he's in a free role but from the looks of mata, mata isn't expected to stay wide which means both he and depay will often be going for the same balls. One needs.... Gooooooooaaaaallll.
