For friendly Real Madrid have put a few heavy tackles in .... Wellbeck off injured.

Good chance for Zaha to shine?

Edit : (doh apologies weararedbonnet I think we were typing at the same time, great minds think alike) <ok>

Great first half, we were by far the better team, we dominated the game.

What stands out is that literally everything is better than it was last pre-season. The quality of football, commitment of the players, willingness to play attacking, entertaining football, innovation (couple of cheeky chipped free kicks that would have been whipped to the far post last season every freaking time). Who knows where it will end up but at least it's interesting to watch.

Totally agree. If we were losing these friendlies to be honest I'd probably be saying "Oh they don't count for much", and in truth they don't .... but hint at a change of attitude. We look organised and hard working. I'm trying not to get carried away, but win or lose today at least they are showing some fight.

PS De Gea has made a nice couple of saves too.

Having to rely on the telegraph website. Lounge is being redecorated, so no sky or TV at the moment

I still think LVG will give Cleverley, Young and Fellaini a last chance. Nani and Ando had plenty of chances, so I think its time to move both on.

I thought LVG may have kept the first team on for 70 mins to increase the chances of a moral boosting win. We might hold out but since the subs at half time we have looked disjointed and Real Madrid well on top.

Zaha been given half a chance but we are pretty much defending so he's getting no supply.

LOL as I type we take a few shots :emoticon-0105-wink:

    Ronaldo on!
