The annoying thing is that we have the players to do damage but we are too busy defending and asking them to attack. We haven't even had a single shot on goal. Fkin disgusting!!

Play football, Mourinho! Do it for our fans!! We are playing at home. We owe them a good show.

We have the players. Unshackle them, please!

This is worse than expected - 24% possession first half. Yet in the 3-4 minutes when we dared to go at them after falling behind we scored! I could pull my hair out if I had any.

Mourinho needs to take full blame for this game. We shouldn't be playing like this at home. I don't give a sh* how good City is perceived to be. Teams play into their hands by inviting pressure. But we should be using the strength of our team against them. We haven't! And we are defending like plunkers too scared to even think.

I don't think Lukaku is the problem. It is solely the manager!

Look at how we are now playing. This is how we should have played the game but instead we went with dimwitted negative tactics.

Soo close!! So, so close! We needed to start this game like this but we didn't. I firmly believe that it wasn't City's brilliance that is winning this game, but United's cowardice.

We deserved to lose that. I quite happy with the result in a very sad way, if that makes sense. We have spent enough money in that last two years to be better than that. What a shame!

Our success or failure as a team surely can't come down to the presence or otherwise of one player in the side - Pogba or no Pogba we must be able to put out a side capable of fighting for a result at home............... we can't just defend all three games that he is suspended then hope to crack on once he's back. If that is a s far as we have come under JM (after all the money he's spent) then he has to go

They are better than us but it is hardly a gulf. We lost because our centre forward made two defensive mistakes for **** sake.
It wasn't a City masterclass by any stretch but admittedly they were away and we haven't been beaten there since the last time they beat us at home so there is a definite difference in the two sides.

We've got to catch up, simple.
And Lukaku needs to get this monkey off his back, put one in off his massive arse against a 'top' side to shut every **** up. Their keeper knew **** all about that, it just hit his head.

We improved after City took the lead. I even felt proud to be a United fan from the 82nd minute after we got Zlatan and Mata on - they combined well to create the chance which Lukaku should have scored. It's unfortunate the urgency and desire to attack weren't there from the first minute.

That's blaming Lukaku for the loss, Chief. I do no buy that for one second. City had 81 - 19% possession at some point. Is that Lukaku's fault? Mourinho needs to take a hard look in the mirror for his approach to big games.

We played like cowards for too long today and we got exactly what we deserved. We made City look better than they are today, unfortunately. FKIN MOURINHO!!! ughh

No, it isn't. Where did I say it's Lukaku's fault?

What I'm saying is despite City's supposed uber brilliance they scored from two set pieces and both of them were down to defensive mistakes.

    That's what I'm saying.

But you have to force mistake first and then capitalize on it to win games. As we did at Arsenal last week. We were not unlucky today. We simply got beat because they had self-belief and we had an underdog mentality in our very own backyard. That's what hurts more than the actual scoreline. Had we played our own game and to our strength, we would have had a chance today.

Mourinho can't continue to shrink when the opportunity is there to play football with our fans behind us.
