Total annihilation of the champions. Something I didn't think possible a few weeks ago. And coming from behind too. Like I said earlier, can we win (not just go undefeated ) all our remaining matches? This is now a team, to be feared by all. The score could have been anything. 4-2 does not do justice to the total thrashing of City.
And not being able to chuck another 500million at the shambles that is your club over the next two seasons could mean that it was all just a fleeting fairytale.
Apart from Aguero the rest of there team is so average and old now, wouldnt be surprised if Liverpool catch them for 4th
Amazing isn't it? All the 'investment' that's gone into them and they're a knackered, decrepit, shambles of a side. Back where they belong, long may it continue.
After the first 20 mins I feared the worst and thought Mata may have to come off due to Navas. So glad to be proved wrong. Great performance.
Shows the problems of buying rather than building a side. City now have the same problem Chelsea had in 2006, a team passing its peak with no good young players coming through, and players showing no real motivation to push for anything. After their initial peak, Chelsea managed one title in eight years. With FFP forcing them to sell before they can buy, and no real European pedigree to prop up their marketing value, City could be looking at that at best.
