Here we go for another meaningless game in our fruitless pursuit of the clearly impossible. With a massive two point difference it's quite clear we won't be able to overturn that in twelve games so why bother? With that in mind I fully expect the **** and slow Ibrahimovic to be positioned up front to see of he can add to his paltry 24 goals already scored this season. Kick off is at 12.30 saturday, I know this is vitally important for a match day thread aimed at those who aren't going anyway. I'm going for a 3-0 or 4-1 win.
1. We are getting fed up of Zlatan stealing the opportunity for another of our players to score a goal. 2. Any win short of 3-0 or 4-1 is not worth praising and will mean we are scraping wins. 3. Pogba will be struggling unless he scores and dominates the midfield on his own and has 3 assists.
Perhaps it is precisely because there is nothing at all interesting about Bournemouth that so many old people live there. This is an ideal opportunity for us to lay down a marker for the rest of the run in, particularly as we keep that game in hand. Bournemouth are reasonably clear of the relegation scrap so they are not fighting for survival and might put this down as one of the games to just play out and live to fight against weaker opposition to build their points total. A nice early kick-off too, so a strong result for us and both the RS and the Ar5e will have the jitters ahead of their game.
Another one?? Surely not! Lets hope we take it for once And if Bournemouth are allegedly not bothered about playing we could have the excitement of creative entertaining footy in that final third. I tingle!
And dossers, don't forget the dolies and dossiers. Bournemouth are very much in the relegation battle. They're miles from being clear. Even so, I expect us to beat them handsomely. The marker is out there, we don't need to be setting any. Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and City are all very much looking over their shoulders.
Interesting fact about Bournemouth. My other halfs family all live there. I've been down three times and not been into the town seen the seafront and when visiting a boozer their ale was utterly ****. Good golf courses though
I would say my personal plus points about Bournemouth are as follows... 1) Sandy beach on the south coast... and better than Weymouth @Skylarker 2) The sea bed plateaus about 100m out before dropping which is great for swimming 3) Harry Ramsden's Negatives.... 1) Too many old people, but as they say... one Wayne's meat is another man's poison
I worked in Southampton briefly and went to Bournemouth for day with a girl who worked in a sports shop I was hoping to shag. Still remember her name, Vanessa King. Anyway, copped a feel and a quick finger blast but no shag, sadly. That's my one and only Bournemouth visit. Not so much an interesting fact as a **** anecdote.
I like that back four. Ordinarily Bailly would be in but that's solid. Interesting Herrera having a rest. Is Rooney going to be in there? Looks like it.
I think the back 4 is the best we could hope for with the choices available tbh. Really got my fingers crossed for Shaw that he has a good game. It's a decent line up.
