Any of you guys see the rumour that West Ham are after bringing Rio and Carrick back 'home' for next season? Any thoughts on this, if true? Matt, I know you are a massive Carrick fan, what do you think if there is any credence to this gossip?

 

I think its from caught offside, therefore, its bullcrap, Rio, i can see him leave at the end of the season.

 

Fair enough. I could see Rio going as well, but Carrick would be a surprise. I think you need his experience whilst you phase in some better CMs.

 

Both are past their sell by date if we are honest.

 

I agree Rio has definitely seen better days. I'd prefer Vidic over him this season (well last few actually!). Carrick, though, I think can still do a good job for you. I think he'd do a good job in the Pirlo role, a la Gerrard this season.

 

Can see Rio retiring after this season, and I highly doubt Carrick is going anywhere. Rio would be better off retiring at United than fully fizzling out at some relegation fodder.
