I think that would be a waste of money personally, how many tricky wingers are still at there best when they get the wrong side of 30. Yes he still played well last season, but to pay that sort of money for a player who's likely to start declining any time soon is ridiculous IMO. We could get 24 year old Reus for a similar fee, that would make alot more sense to me

 

If true, he'll go to Chelsea. He's a Chelsea fan and they can offer CL footy too

John O'Shea was a Liverpool fan, it means nothing really. Players are advised to look at the bigger picture so our lack of CL football for a season, is not what is going to sway the deal. Luke Shaw is 18, so he's in no rush to play CL football. He knows with the players were being linked with, and the fact we have a miles superior revenue to everyone else, that we are the best club to join in the long run.

Chelsea used to lead the pecking order financially, but now with FFP coming in we will be the biggest financial force in the PL, and over the next 5 years that will become more evident. There is no way the Chavs will be able to match us, with there 35,000 seater stadium, and there 10 fans in China.

Luke Shaw's advisors will be well aware of this, and will know to advise him to come to us

Kroos wants out though. Hes quoted saying as much un bild.

 

If it is the case that LVG has put a stop to this Kroos deal then I'm very suprised. We need a few midfielders, and Kroos is quality, plus VG knows him well having brought him through when he was at Bayern. We where supposedly only paying 20 million, as he's got only a year left on his contract, which is very cheap for a player of his age and quality

 

I'd be amazed if this were true. How can he NOT be of the required quality and position for United?

It would be a very strange decision to make.
