It’s definitely worse this season comparing those who have fallen into it with those gone. It really is just endless dross though with very little between about 20 of the 24 teams.

I picked up on the bit that said the police were looking on from a distance. Anywhere else apart from a football match and arrests would have been happening. When a player on the pitch punches somebody, why doesn't a copper walk onto the pitch and nick them? No wonder players have their attitudes when they're seemingly above the law.

 

I've said for a long time that the CPS should prosecute assaults when they happen on a pitch. Ben Thatcher springs to mind.
