Been out for almost 2 years and was very affective for us before he got injured and has managed to get himself an assist in around 30 minutes of play spread amongst 2 games. He took a while settling....that's to be expected. Salah has hit the ground running....Salah had previous PL experience too.

Lamela has not been **** since day...he was **** on day 1 though.

Pogba has been superb this season. Anyone who doesn’t rate him genuinely doesn’t understand what they’re watching. We look good when he’s on the pitch, bang average when he isn’t.

For that reason I am not at all confident.

Could do with a few more city fans on here for a proper Manc **** off. Bit disappointing to be honest.

Maybe they could recruit a few Spud fans for the occasion? Gods knows they're qualified enough. <whistle>

We've been scoring for fun again and City have been stumbling over the line, Sod's law says we'll get smashed 5-0 but in theory we should be just sticking to our own attacking game plan and letting them deal with us, rather than vice versa.

Pogba being out is a massive blow for us, I can see Jose putting Fellaini and Zlatan in the side to give City a long ball headache.

I've watched them quite a lot lately and they are not stumbling over the line, teams dig in against them but they keep playing and find a way, mainly the De Bruyne way so stopping him is key.

Ibra would make sense with Rom not doing that will in big games.

My honest assessment is that Lamela is nothing more than a solid player. Alli and Eriksen are far better than him.

Technically, he's brilliant but theres some swagger about lamela that doesn't help him. He doesn't have the strength or that burst to get away from a player but unlike Eriksen or Alli, he doesn't play on the half turn and his passing isn't as good as eriksens. He likes to put his foot on the ball, showboat a bit and slows the game down. For every 1 great piece of play, he stops a good 2 or 3 opportunities by letting the defence reset imo/losing the ball.

He's a great for the team system though as he's got great energy and presses very well (sometimes a bit reckless) but for teams who just sit back, he's not the one for me.

i wouldn't advocate Ibra at all. You know Kompany and Otamendi will be all over him like a rash and getting away with classic dirty defending. Whilst i don't doubt he will hold it up at times, with him in the side United aren't a counter attacking threat and ibras going to be knackered with City passing it around.

Stick him on at the end. Lukaku at least is a willing runner.

  17. I’m new to this thread, guys.

    My prediction?

City will tear United a new one in every phase of play.

That would have been the case even if Pogba hadn’t been a total knobber in his last match.

Mourhino is no where near as good as Pep; and given that City are, man for man, about three times better than United, I expect City to win 3-0.
