Didn't expect to win before the game, but thought it would be a game for at least first half.

Can I just point out that we've been much the more threatening team for the last 10-15.

 

we're in this. Love a goal before half time. Obviously.

 

The whole team needs to get forward. Forget about conceding a 3rd. Throw everyone forward now and try to get a goal before half time. Same goes for the second half.

 

This sounds miles better. Not the first time this season we've turned around our performance mid-match, for better or worse.

 

We have. I never had much hope for this game in reality, but at least we're beginning to play like a team now.

We do seem to be getting back in the game but then simply give the ball away at in opportune moments bringing pressure back onto ourselves
So frustrating when we shoot ourselves in the foot but this has been a problem for weeks

 

Well you could not wish for a worse start. Could easily have been 4 dow by now. Poor play by Yosh and it's becoming a feature of his game unfortunately. That said, he's been no worse than several others as far as giving the ball away. Ironically, Man City have been given the upper hand rather than earned it. I'm not writing this game off yet but it needs an immense half time team talk!!

 

This reminds me very much of the United game. By that I mean despite how well we've done in the past few seasons and how much we think of ourselves as a top 6 team it's like we get starstruck! It's like the players look around and are like "Holy **** were playing Man City!!!!! We should definitely be losing." And now like we did after 85 minutes against United we remembered oh no we are actually a good team ourselves and may get something, unfortunately we almost always do this after we're losing.

 

A decent second half is essential if we are to lift a bit of confidence ahead of Wednesdays quarter final.

 

We've seen what happens when we are 2-0 up at half time. Time for them to show what they are made of at 2-0 down

 

Yeah I hear you. That was probably the worst 20 minutes of football under Koeman, followed by actually looking the more threatening team. Bizarre.

Get an early goal back start of the second half and anything could happen.

 

Ron needs to wave a magic wand and improve our passing........really poor at times but then again we have had couple of chances.

I said people would be scapegoating Maya. I mean, all he did was give the ball away under no pressure forty yards out with no-one behind him so it inevitably led to a goal. And you're blaming him.
