Just watch the game on DVR. Not looked at many posts but this is my take on the game. When I saw the line up I was happy with the 3 at the back, does MP2 read our threads! Then I saw Redmond was playing and not Boufal so was a little pissed (in the States pissed means angry). So proud of the way we contained City and Forster was up for the match today and made some great saves and kept us in the match. We should have been 2 up at the end of the first half, but that has been the story of the year, we do not take our chances and they come back and bite us in the arse. We played with courage, fight and even pressed a few time. One observation is that with MP1 and Koeman we played out from the back when the keeper had the ball and now we hoof it forward and 90% of the time we handed possession back to City. Totally gutted at the end, 5 minutes of extra time was allotted and Sterling scores in 90 +6 go figure. Boufal should be starting and if Pep thinks Redmond is sooo good he can have him for 12M in January. The post match report on NBC mentioned how poorly City played but not how well we contained them, but then again we are little old Southampton and we are supposed to roll over. I am truly looking forward to the rest of the season.
I would like to see him take on the WH/WBA/Palace job and see how well he does, easy spending all that money. Try doing it on a limited budget.
Yeah but he was a prick tonight. 1. You don’t behave like that towards an opponent on the final whistle, whether you’re being nice or not. Imagine if a Saints player had seen it and rushed over to shove pep away? WW4 would have started. 2. He wants teams to play against his team in a way that makes his team look even better? **** off Pep, it isn’t your game and all about you. 3. He paid £50m for Kyle Walker who is **** and did bugger all tonight. Oh apart from the very first time he got it, he turned and passed it straight to Shane who was one v one with Kompany. Sadly Shame stood on it and poked it away with his toe. Yeah I like his philosophy and how he plays the game and the fact he’s very charismatic, it tonight he was an ungracious prick. He got his win. Take the points and show some class. He’s dropped a notch in my estimations now.
Oh and I’m home. Knackered. Pissed off. Proud. Watch out Cherries. Well done to all the players, MP2 and the fans.
Finally, if anyone is reading this on a coach, the A34 is **** going south of the M40. Tell your driver to either go M1/M25/M3 or to go down to junction 8 of the M40 and on the southern ring road around Oxford. He’s a professional driver so will probably appreciate some dick from Northampton telling him where to drive
We watched the same channel and I think you’ve hit the nail on the head with all of that. Just before Stirling scored I thought “We May do this”. I should have learned by now.
Yep my daughter said to her husband yesterday that my other half and I got pissed last night. He asked what she did wrong. She said gave us too much wine. So lost in translation.
Two countries divided by a common language, how did you like the Falcons game on Sunday? Nice stadium and a good win.
Good on you for travelling. The other chance we had was when Redmond got the ball with one on one and he turned around a passed it back. Pep says he is good at a one on one situation, just shook my head and said WTF, but by now most posters will know my feelings for Redmond.
