We went to the home of the champions and got a deserved draw (were unlucky not to win) with our reserve goalie, second choice RB, and Captain and CB missing. And no RVP. Unlike last season eh? Not a bad result.
Ramsey for me was your best player, gets way too much stick when things aren't going well but no credit when they are. MOTD will no doubt point to City's lethargy but the simple fact is Arsenal outplayed them for large periods on a ground where they have been imperious for about 18 months.
Well said re Ramsey. Thought he was excellent today. He was not ready for the work load he was given last year and with Cazorla in the team, he can thrive without the pressure.
Thought you lot were unlucky today. Deserved to win - especially the first half. Bar Diaby and that mars attacks striker anyway.
Just back in the shire, so I didn't see the game. Looking forward to MOTD, sounds like we played well ?
Tried to overplay it at times but in general play you were the better side, reduced City to just counter attacks really. Good game I thought. Ramsey and Koscielny for me stood out, they and Arteta were fantastic. Aguero, Tevez and Dzeko were poor for City with Yaya Toure and Javi Garcia being the only solid performers for City
Arsenal simply outplayed us and should consider themselves unfortunate not to be heading back down south with all 3 points.I thought in particular Ramsey & Cazorla ran the midfield and mertesaaker was excellent at the back Question will probably be where the goals will come from to mount a sustained title challenge but if that can be answered then everything else is in place Very few teams play us off the park at home but fair play it happened today
Per Mertesacker was our Man of the match IMO. He was a rock today, reminded me of a taller Paolo Maldini. Didn't do much tackling, but intercepted anything coming his way.
Just got home from the game, that was a very good point for us, both us and City had good chances, so I think a draw was a fair result. Positives from the game was the defence again, Mannone, and Ramsey. Speaking of the defence, it's so good to see that we finally have some depth of world class centre backs, we didn't feel the loss of Vermaelen today, and Kosh proved again why he is one of the best defenders out there. We've only conceded 1 goal from open play so far this season, which was down to Shezny's error rather. We've only played 5 games so far this season, but 3 of those games have been away games against Stoke, Liverpool, and City, 3 very tough away grounds, i'm sure if you ask any Arsenal fan to name tough away grounds those 3 would be at the top of the list, and we have them all out of the way already, and it isn't even October yet, not only do we have these away fixtures out of the way, we've come out of all 3 of them with good results, 5 points from those 3 away games is a good return. We have another tough game next week, a win against Chelsea would really be the icing on the cake, hopefully we can get all 3 points next week. And that was one amazing celebration we did when we scored, :-D.
quick quality sky highlights of the game, this might be taken down soon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pn-WGrc9Qc8 our celebration was really amazing, :-D.

I saw somewhere that Arteta has the most passes (and completion rate in the Prem) and that he had a 94% pass accuracy rate today.

Really good game. If Gervinho had taken his shooting boots with him, we could have won by a couple of clear goals. Credit to Kos for getting the equaliser. But has to be said that he got a bit lucky with a couple of defensive mistakes, he could have given away a pen on Aguero and then thrown the game away at the end with a sloppy clearance straight to Aguero again. Overall though we played really well and some of our passing in the first half was as good as anything I've seen from Arsenal. Arteta, Cazorla, Ramsey and Diaby basically ran that midfield yesterday. Very promising indeed
Can somebody help me. There was a guy playing for you yesterday, had Ramsey on the back, but I am sure he can't have been the same one from last season - he was hopeless. Who is this top buy you have made and why was it kept quiet? From MOTD, was best player on the pitch imo.
