All falling apart, which is what happens when you go out and park the bus at a place like this. Even the starting line up sent out the message of what was to come - like lying on your back with your legs in the air saying 'please don't hurt me too much'.
Giving the goal was akin to watching an octopus escaping from a jar and swimming off into another and closing the lid behind it.
Well.... all changed when we substituted.... not so bad really.... and of course that bad bad bad decision...………….
FT 3-1 - first goal City have shipped in a while so that's a feather in our cap. GD limited! Far better performance than at Liverpool, a good team effort by manager and players imo. Great to see change in game plan when City had a commanding lead so we made a game of it. Until the next time, tx for your company all.
“We play a very good first half. Collectively a very good performance. I think everybody has seen what happened, I never criticise the referees and I’m not going to do it either. There is position and influence, and I think it is clear. I have confidence in all of our players, I know they are able to compete with other teams. Now we have to play eight games more in the league plus a cup quarter final. It is important that they are ready. We did our best.” Javier Gracia
Really - a routine 3-1 home win for the Champions ahead of some big results for the relegation battles? They won't even discuss the first goal that much - I think our players and Javi were actually appealing for handball more than offside. I guess we've had some decisions go our way against lesser teams and typical we play a top 6 side and it doesn't. Least no-one got sent or injured.
