    Need to make do with some dull 0-0 draws away from home ...

    Unlucky lads, smashing performance & a pleasure to watch at times.

    You'll be fine if you keep that up, Lambert is a goal machine, 3 divisions up, no problem.

    I'll take it, if we'd come from 3-0 to 3-2 it would have been a better feeling but it's a decent result.

    Well played by Southampton... gave it a good go but you should've put money on Nasri, you just knew 'Eid' score.

    (sorry for the poor pun).

    That must be a big confidence boost for the team. Now we need to beat Wigan to get the ball rolling and then show Utd why we came so close.

    I'm so proud of them, they've shown we can hack it in this league.

    Lambert = Legend
    S. Davis = Future Legend

    No, I don't mean that, he was well played out of the game, but did his bit.

    What a game. Never mind the scoreline, we showed we can play and score.

    Well done Saints :) very proud fan and can hold my head high in an office full of London supporting clubs tomorrow. Thought we did great in defense in places but shaky at other times. A few signings in defense and the signs are there for a good season. Couldn't help imagine Ramirez in Puncheons position... not that Puncheon was that bad but...

    Heh, after that cautious first half (only in the equally-epic Leeds game can I remember that many striped shirts behind the ball), it was a joy to see the real Saints come out to play...demented, exciting stuff, and it's a win in the dressing room if not by the scoreline.

    Brilliant game. Can't believe we actually went ahead. But we've learned that you can make NO errors, they will be pounced on.

    So proud right now! Every single player gave their all and wanted to wear the shirt. Clyne looked very sharp; Ward Prowse is a massive talent; Steve Davis looks like an amazing player, true leadership; Lambert looks very comfortable and Lallana looked honoured to be captain. I could go on forever!

    What a season we have to come, everything looks good. Once again, Saints fan and proud. COYR :)

    Great performance from the boys. It will show players that Saints are interested in signing, what a positive footballing side we are!

    Garbage display of refereeing from Webb. An absolute disgrace. No wonder we were so knackered mentally and physically at the end. Should have had a penalty early on, borderline offside and they got every single decision. Great display and we deserved at least a draw
