    Probably the most important thing to MA is making sure that Cabaye doesn't get injured and ruin his chances of getting another £20-30 million paid off of his club loan.

    I'm more fuming that Jonas is the player that's replaced Cabaye. I mean Cabaye is a creator so why replace him with a grafter??? Should have gone with Anita and kept the same game plan.

    Just don't understand Pardew's thought process regarding that choice.

    Bet Jonas was going to start anyway. Probably was set for the left but moved to center when Cabaye pulled out, with gouff getting a start he would otherwise have missed. Can't believe Pardew wouldn't play Jonas against a team like Man City.

    Yep. I reckon it's Gouffran who has come in.

    You can't feel sorry for Pardew when he's playing Jonas as a CM and has Anita on the bench.

    Apparently we had a great pre-season as well. Didn't look that way.

    Far too attacking this line up for me. We might pay a heavy price. I'd have kept back Gouff to have a half decent attacking option on the bench. You need Jonas for this one, but Anita would have been useful too. We should have been a lot more negative basically. We're trying to be brave and exploit their high line/pressure football which is the hallmark of Pelligrini, but I think you're just giving them too much space. Hope I'm wrong.

    It's pretty obvious how this game is going to go. They press us and we try and counter.

    Lets him we get a few lucky breaks.

    I'm actually pretty happy with the line up. If Jonas gets back to his best and helps cover that LB spot, Sissoko bombs forward, Tiote does ok, and the front 3 link up well, then it could be an very effective side.
