Manchester City v Newcastle United - Official Build Up/ Match Day Thread

I'm finding that watching this lot that the only way is to drink heavily.

The trouble is that I get double vision and it's twice as bad.

I don't want to come off as a WUM but Cisse is just to small to be lone striker. He needs a big guy (like Ba was) to play off of

 

their subs bech is worth more than our whole team ffs

Question is are we seeing anything different from last season? This in my opinion is just a continuation of our performances last season and is very concerning although I do appreciate this is just the first game of the season but I am finding it impossible to find even the tiniest of positives

Really? I think he was absolute garbage first half and second. Cost us the 2nd goal too by being lazy as ****. For such a big lad he is an absolute pussy. Just gets shrugged off with ease.

We need to get some power in this team. Up front Cisse may have had no service but he is no lone front man. Weak as piss. In the middle of the park we need some bite and Anita/Sissoko are weak. We need a right back too.

On the flipside we've tried to play on the deck, Dummett looks good.

 

We're bottom of the league, player sent off (suspension to follow), most influential player looks like he's off, no transfer activity as such on a paper thin squad.........................what a great start to the season!!!!

I'd say it couldn't get worse but i wouldn't want to tempt fate!!

 

I hope you do turn it around. Newcastle are one of my favorite non-Arsenal teams and its a damn shame to see such a great team crippled like this.

 

My thoughts on the lack of signings is that Ashley wants all new players to sign a zero-hour contract.

If it's good enough for Sports Direct...
