asset values can go up and down mate. Success = revenue = Value. success will be measured by revenue and trophies. The latter, Slot has a lot of good will. The former is key though. Qualifying for CL next year is super critical to stand still. Progression in the CL this season past the last 16 should easily compensate for the difference between prize money between 1st and 4th or 5th, whichever qualifies for CL in the league (that’s an assumption, might be wrong) right now, there a several clubs that look much better than us. Early days but we need to see improvement in the next 10 games or Slot will be looking over his shoulder imo. Thats not me saying he should go, just my view of how investors view things.
Didn't the flag go up something like 14 seconds after the goal, leading some to say that the linesman must have been told through his earpiece to raise it to square with what the VAR was to come up with. It's looking more and more like the VAR isn't for clear and obvious errors at all.
Not.on a balance sheet. The asset is the asset and amortised as such. The balance sheet value increases. The asset value increases. This is the Chelsea model too.
FSG are also very numbers based and have statisticians that will be showing how the immediate season after investment is usually slightly down on the return but the season after shows the benefits of a (now) settled squad/team
I don't know the answer either. I hadn't heard about him going on holiday tbh, but perhaps there is only so much you can do without the players. I don't like to think the worst of anybody without sufficient evidence, and I don't think I know enough to pass judgement.
Klopp took holidays. My thing about slot is I'd question the family as we all did with mourinho at man utd. Last year they were at school so they all stayed in Holland. Is the issue over with him? Have they committed to the club? I dont know. But its like this; you.might not have enough players but you have ones you.might work with if you want to. Endo, chiesa amd jones and gomez were all there to work with. What is found out as well eas they look a little break for a day after real. No get in here and recover. No..have a wee day off boys. The recovery certainly showed v city. I seriously question the fitness..you.cannot fix thst too easy.
That City picture isn't really accurate as he got onside before the ball was headed, I remember it as I thought it showed up how absurd the whole interfering with play thing is. Still should have been disallowed for obstruction though imo. I still think offside should be offside tbh, if you're in the attacking third you're interfering with play one way or another 99% of the time. Not seen your one btw so not commenting on that but seems pretty unanimous that it was a poor decision.
That's pretty much where I'm at with it. There will always be people who look for reasons why things are going wrong and pointing out anything and everything that could be factors. I don't know what the players who aren't called up do during international breaks but I can't recall seeing any holiday pictures from them during those times. If the boss is off on holiday while they are still coming in for training maybe that doesn't look good. I'm not especially bothered by it I just thought it was interesting because I've never questioned what happens at the club while the internationals are on and I was surprised when I read it.
