Think we'll see something like this, with the full backs and Roca told to hold position, don't think we'll see much change in personnel just the system. .....keeper? Ayling...Koch....Wober.....Firpo, or if fit Cooper cb, wober lb .......................Roca Summerville...McKennie...Harrison...Gnonto ........................Bamford.
Let’s be honest with our selves we only need 11 football players on the pitch who are prepared to earn their pay, do that and we could be contented Don’t expect a win just a case of managing the level of disappointment
I've always been a big believer that any 11 can stop or beat another 11, no matter how good they are. The thing is it can take quite a lot of work on the training ground to work through all the parameters surrounding how to achieve it. On that point, I don't feel Sam will have gotten enough sessions or time into the squad to truly pull something off today. Like most, I feel this will be a case of damage limitation with a look ahead to the last 3 games to try and get 4 or 6 points in the hope that will be enough. Realistically we would want West Ham safe by the time we play them, and them to still be in the European Cup would likely see us play them at a good time then. Newcastle will be tricky no matter what but they will be safe for the top 4 and maybe taking their eye off the ball a little. Spurs are a real Jekyll and Hyde as we all know so let's hope there will be no pigeon dancing on the day we stuff them 2 nil to say up.
I was thinking along the same lines the other day, having City first could be a blessing, we’re unlikely to beat them if they were the 1st up or 4th getting them out the way gives Sam an extra week before facing the teams we might scrape something from
Got my 10 mile run out of the way this morning. Making scrambled eggs on toast whilst watching the coronation. Looking forward to the first 10 minutes of today's game. It will be at that point I'll have a good indication of whether we could stay up or not.
