And any half decent manager would have done better than Pep if they had his billions to spend on players and he didn't. Bielsa is a better coach than Pep
exactly, last year down to 10 men we parked the bus because we had no alternative… game goes on, pressure builds on them. Most other sides park the bus with 11 men and hope to get lucky. On the one hand I admire that we don’t do that… on the other I’m livid at the capitulation
100%. Concede early or go down to 10 then you're cooked there. There's just no way any team can realistically recover from Chelsea and City back to back on a Saturday-Tuesday schedule. If the fixtures had been played in reverse on a Saturday-Wednesday you might have fared better.
The most embarrassing thing of the night is the ****ing clowns on here telling bielsa to get out of elland road. Show some ****ing respect. Whether you think he is good enough for the job or not be has given the best 3years of football in the last 20. Entertaining as well as successful. He gives everything to the club and has barely seen his family in 4 years. Some of ye don't deserve him and don't deserve what he's given us. Did ye expect we would waltz into the prem and beat the best teams in the world week in week out? Not aimed at you emu, just replying to the latest post.
The truth is somewhere in the middle. Pound for pound Bielsa is up there with the best. But Pep is no fool, people can point to what he's spent but Lampard and OGS spent fortunes and left their teams in 9th place. Fulham spent a crazy amount the last time they were in the PL as well. At that level of the game Pep is up there with the best there is, if not the best.
My point was that Pep probably couldn't do what Bielsa did with the Leeds team he inherited, but i get your point mate I would love to see these big spending 'coach's' in the Championship with limited funds. and a bunch of mediocre players and actually do what their job title says, coach them out of that league
Exactly. It's now time to prove your worth as a fan, get behind every player at the club and show massive support and appreciation for Marcelo Bielsa.
Relegation rollercoaster here we come, Not surprising we got slapped tonight, how many of our team would even make city's bench? Time for radz and his mates to step up to the plate and buy some quality. And not a time for sacking the manager, he has brought some of the best football ever to this club
El Loco is the best coach we've had in years but he is not above criticism when one of his teams give a clueless, gutless display, i think he has already criticised himself tonight after that shambles
Nothing wrong with some critisicm, especially tonight in the aftermath of a heavy defeat. Tomorrow though let's all get behind the lads and give them the support they need to turn things around.
Thats what Leeds fans do, blow off a bit of frustrated steam and move on, this will be forgotten when we smash the Arse on saturday
A lot of knee jerk reactions here and understandably so, but city can buy any player they want and even some of our **** managers from the past could probably win the League because of that. It's not a level playing field and Bielsa has done as much as he can with what he has got to play with. Remember there were only three points at stake here. Arsenal are no city and we can get something out of the game, I'm more worried about Liverpool. I've been at games when we were beaten 6.0 by the wendies, 7.3 by Florist. Bielsa will probably go at the end of the season and then what. I will also add that even if we were done 20.0 my support will never lessen. LEEDS LEEDS LEEDS
I think a lot of comments on here was just down to frustration and should be taken with a pinch of salt.
