If we have this level of whinging when we're top of the league with a 100% record then what's it going to be like when we lose a game? <doh>

Some of you need to let go of the past and live in the now. Criticise Monk for his tactics/record this season and not just because he's not Laudrup.

But when some pick up on issues, such as second half performance against Burnley, that West Brom were very poor, even with us playing very well, we are told to stop being miserable, and negative by the likes of Plastic. We get told that we are not happy and only finding reasons to moan about the team, even though we are just picking up on things that are actually happening and they don't want to hear it, it then moves along to us supposedly Monk bashing because we are Laudrup fan boys....so whats the point? I mean I wonder if they think Monk is a Laudrup fan boy, because there is no doubt he will be realising the same things that we are.

Instead, thanks to the Monk love in going on, we all have to just sit here and praise Monk, because if we say anything that is negative, we loop back to being Laudrup fan boys. Yet the love in guys have the cheek to say the Laudrup fan boys are the ones causing the problems.
 
Monk being the problem is a myth , its the manner in which Monk was brought in and how the club has been run since. It will take a while for repercussions to take hold ....imo .
 
What repercussions roof? The players that left have been replaced and we are building momentum under Monk. 7 wins from the last 8 confirm this.
 
Agree 100% with your post, swanselona. I think it's just people having different natures - that's just being human. Some people get carried away in the moment and refuse to see anything that spoils that vision whilst at the other end of the scale some people criticise no matter what. I'd like to think we take the middle ground - happy with our progress under Monk but pointing out some pretty obvious points about what's happened so far.

That may be 'boring' for some but it's not disloyal and it doesn't mean we don't support the Club. Those accusations from the likes of Plastic really get my goat. I respect other people's right to have their view so they should respect mine. As has been pointed out we're flying high yet we seem to be arguing about nothing.

That's fine by me. Analyse the performances and tactics, that's interesting debate. We're certainly far from a perfect team! It's all the incessant snidey remarks that piss me off. They add nothing.

The majority here are realistic about things but saying that, there are some that just seem unable to enjoy what little success we have. It's the constant moaning for no reason other that it's Monk that's getting me down, not the critique of play/tactics.

I get the impression only the people who constantly mention Laudrup think there's any kind of Monk love-in going on. It comes across as bitter. I've no "love" for Monk, the jury's still out by a long way for me. There's maybe one noticeable exception who does "love" Monk though! Maybe you could name the other love-in guys I've missed.
 
Fully agree Dai. We kniw there will be dark periods, but for now enjoy the sunshine. Yes we were poor second half v Burnley but we were very good for 90 minutes v WBA. Were they poor? Yes, but I'd rather credit our side for making them look poor.
As for Burnley they showed v Utd that they are no mugs either. The signings brought in and Ki have also been very good too so far.

At least no one can put me in either anti laudrup or anti monk camp...just pro swansea camp !

Can everyone please put a hug at the end of every post from now on...just to calm it down <hug>
