What could he possibly have to say about rangers?

On current form, any discussion on them results in the website being shut down

Yes it is a genuine question and as I am a Rangers fan I have seen it fail miserably. It is also in the papers today that the Athletico Madrid defender says that he will use McNeills words as motivation to thump Celtic on thursday

Well when I talk about how I rarely see it working I am talking about football that I have seen in my lifetime. But feel free to give some examples of how this worked years ago.

Aye, Medro, don't mention Celtic. I did, but I think I got away with it.

Result; United get hammered 4:1 http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/mar/14/premier-league-manchester-united-liverpool

Result: Benitez stoked the fire with saying "In the build-up to the second leg of their Champions League semifinal at Stamford Bridge, Benitez revealed he had compiled a dossier over the last four years detailing Drogba's tendency to win free-kicks and insisted that he "falls down too easily".

Result; I don't think it was the mind games that beat Arsenal

Result; England go out of the world cup AGAIN! Little to do with his words I reckon "It looked to me as if the English have gone backwards into the bad old times of kick and rush. I am not sure if the England coach Fabio Capello can still change much there. The English are being punished for the fact that there are very few English players in the Premier League clubs as they use better foreign players from all over the world."

Pretty true if you ask me.

But I follow Scottish football and IMO the biggest culprits of this are Celtic.

    a) Utd win league - trash talk wins

    b) Yes Benitez stirred it up but Drogba responds with trash talk and Chelsea win - trash talk wins

    c) Wiltshere played keek - trash talk wins

    d) True but still a slur - trash talk wins <ok>

So you're using a Man Utd player claiming about winning the league, a Chelsea player claiming to knock Liverpool out of CL, the Barca manager saying that Wilshere wont play well against them and a former German player talking about England playing crap football.

Do you think it was the trash talking that helped?
