Lowe always comes across as a decent bloke and Manager who had PNE punching above their weight But sacking him after one game, against one of the favourites for promotion ? Really ? Having watched a very average Sheffield Wednesday wallop an awful Plymouth Argyle yesterday, Rooney won’t be in that job for long either!

I have never considered Rooney to be manager material and don't think he'll last the season, but Lowe's departure is a shocker.
Has to be more to the Lowe sacking doesn’t there?. As for Rooney he seems genuine enough, he can’t need the money. Whether he’s a coach or not, that’s another matter.
According to the BBC Lowe said he would leave when he couldn’t take the club any further He’s managed 13th, 12tn and 10th place finishes in his time there so there was some progress They were somewhere around 5th place with a month to go last season but lost their last 5 games But leaving after one game this season which was hardly an unsurprising defeat agsinst one of the favourites, it’s all very odd As you say, there has to be more to it
