I have nothing against Bilic but he's shown tonight why it's not a good idea to be an arrogant cocky **** in front of the media before the game
Ok he's a ****er Nah tbh I think he's doing a cracking job and good luck to him. But... dont go around saying you fully expect to win before the game, doesnt matter who you are.
I don't think Bilic meant any disrespect when he said that but I can see how it could be taken the wrong way. He has said he goes into every game expecting to win. He said he would never settle for a point/draw before a game no matter who we are playing home or away. Brilliant attitude and most refreshing after 4 seasons of Sam "respect the point" Allardyce.
Na I think it can work both ways in the big games. Gives his own players belief and can intimidate the opposition. He said the same when we beat spurs a few weeks back and we won the game easily. Could have easily been 3 or 4 nil if our strikers had their shooting boots on. On this occasion against Man Utd, you could argue it backfired. Our players seemed a little over confident as if the hard work had already been done at Old Trafford.
LVG flooded the midfield and you got overrun. He tried that against us, but because of Dembele, it didn't work too well.
