Yes, the Brighton players seemed to dislike Chris Hughton’s negative tactics....but at the end of the day, it kept them up.
My managerial sacking bet for next season contains one name, and one name only. The hapless Ole Gunnar Solskjær Giving Ole the Man Utd job was like making Diane Abbot the CEO of MENSA. I will be amazed if he is still United manager by October. Ole’s at the wheel
There appears to be a vacancy at Kilmarnock, with Clarke about to get the Scotland gig. Maybe Alex Dyer will divulge who the second best manager is?
West Bromwich Albion are waiting for the Play Off final to conclude before making a move for Lee Bowyer. FFS - give that man a contract
My hopes of keeping Bowyer are not high, haven't been since January, when he should have been given an acceptable contract. The owner has just publicly aired his loathing for Charlton fans again, and such a spiteful individual would enjoy inflicting on us the pain of losing a terrific manager with the added bonus that we love him because of his Charlton connection. Jim White would give him a platform to tell everyone about how the fans drove Bowyer away. Think Jose Riga first time round. The fans wanted and supported him the staff liked him, the players worked for him, he was successful and said publicly how much he wanted to stay. Then.............................Enter Millwall Bob.
In theory, having a decent Championship Club offering him a contract puts Lee Bowyer in a very strong position should he wish to squeeze the best possible deal out of Roland to stay at Charlton. However, RD doesn't seem to care whether Bowyer stays or not. This is one of the reasons Duchatelet is a uniquely sh*te owner. He treats a man who has been totally professional and publicly 100% loyal to him like dirt. As if Bowyer is beneath his notice. So WBA will probably get their man, simply for acknowledging how good Bowyer has the potential to be, and showing him some interest and basic courtesy.
That's the whole point, the total lack of respect for Bowyer, to the silly non-contract offer to the rant praising Wilder. Our owner really is an igoranus of the first order.
I predict that next Tuesday/Wednesday (whatever division we are in) we will lose the following people to a Championship team … Mr Lee Bowyer Mr Johnnie Jackson Mr Steve Gallen Over the summer the following players will join said Championship Club Mr Big Fecking German. Mr Lyle Taylor Mr Joseph Aribo I had a nightmaire last night you see.
Nope, the Belgian will not pay him what he's worth... whatever Division we are in... and he will be gone..... remember Steve Gallen had agreed a new long term contract with Joe Aribo last summer only for the Belgian to refuse to endorse it.
