Straight back up??....The way things are,I can see us in another rele scrap in the NPC!.We need stability before even thinking about 'bouncing straight back'....

That's the problem in a nutshell. The owners will expect someone to bring us straight back up when we know by experience that it won't happen with this bunch of misfits. It will be just like the last time, probably throwing more money at 'names' and the spiral will gather pace downwards.

I'd prefer a clear-out of the deadwood and some young, hungry players brought in with a point to prove. Sadly, I think we'll get more of the same in desperation if the financial 'Grim Reaper' hasn't collected us up...

We won't even get 5k STs if any of those names are appointed. Cotterill would be a total disaster, as would Warnock or any others mentioned besides the possibility of Adkins but then I don't like him..

How about Mourinho? He's said he wants to come back to England, we'd happily pay his wages, we're in West London where his family was very settled and he will probably be out of a job at Madrid in the summer. On top of that he has stated in the past that he'd love the challenge of taking a team from the Championship into the Premier League!!! The only job I can really see him getting is Man City in the Prem, I think Abramovich is too proud to take him back to Chelsea, Ferguson won't go yet, Liverpool will stick by Rodgers and Arsenal won't spend any money to get him. That leaves City, should they finally realise that Mancini is never going to get them anywhere in Europe, as his only real chance of challenging and in all honesty he'll probably end up there but you never know he might fancy taking us up, keeping us up and then taking over at Old Trafford, which is where he really wants to be.

Anyway, now I've woken up properly, I think you'll find that this is the very reason Steve Cotterill has come in. He wouldn't be my choice but I think that's what will happen.

I would take a look at Karl Robinson, young, QPR fan, plays decent football, would be very hungry for the job????

Interesting question....First of all i would not want Harry anywhere near the club should you end up in the championship, I would also not fall for what use to be the norm of getting a high profile manager in as i believe that football is changing and these old school managers are not very good at change. Im sure that qpr must have somewhere an ex player who has done his badges eager and hungry for a chance to prove himself and is up to date in the modern coaching skills that these old hands do not possess, I believe that you move with the times and take risks like a few clubs have done over the past few years and dont follow other clubs like sheep when trying to find the right manager as more than likely he is right under your nose eager for a chance...good luck but your not down and out yet.....

Good post. His name is Gareth Ainsworth. I would take him, he's a legend and gives his all.

Other than that, I like the suggestion of Adkins and I like the idea of OGS.

Edit: Karl Robinson is a good idea too. All managers who are doing well at their current clubs.

Are you forgetting his two stints he had with us before? Okay his hands were somewhat tied by Beavis and Buthead but his results were pretty shi*ty.

I don't think we should ever go back to a former Manager either. It just doesn't work. Gerry Francis is a case in point. Leave Ollie and COLIN where they are.

Hold onto Harry if he wants to stay. If not, Toad-Face would do a job if he gets the sack from West Ham.
