Dai. I think that he should be put in charge on an interim basis, if we can't find an immediate replacement when needed.

The younger players know his philosophy and he should be able to get some of our more creative established players on board from the start. Perhaps we can start playing some football again and entertaining us fans

I suspect it’s in the boards mind.
Can’t see him getting anything out of the likes of Pack, Ralls, Vaulks or Bacuna creativily.
He may shake up the back 5 as they’re defensively a shambles.
He may also give some of his youngsters proper game time and play a more attacking brand - you know on the floor through midfield and not aimlessly airborne to a line striker.

We don't when they're bypassed but I think you'll find that some of our lads are better than previous managers have allowed them to be. I'll not be surprised to see one or two come good. Perhaps Vaulks or Sang in centre midfield. Not too sure whether Ralls can be as neat and tidy as he's previously been. That said, Bowen could become a good asset and perhaps be the answer. If their old enough then they're good enough.

I don't believe I'm saying this but, if we have to go down in order to rebuild, then so be it. Hopefully it won't come to that but I'm sure we, the fans, would be far happier watching the team entertain us than playing hoofball in the hope of scoring the odd goal.

Have to say, I agree with LLF here.

Ralls has the ability to be a half decent box to box player. He has shown a knack for arriving late in the box to pop up with goals.
Even Vaulks has shown ability to hit the ball well and score from distance.
Pack can be neat, tidy and pick a pass when giventhe right platform.
Throw in a smattering of young uns with a bit more flair and we could probably get a half decent functioning midfield.

Can we recall Murphy? Even his erratic showings may provide some positive spark right now.

Interestingly, I saw a snippet on MOTD about Brentford last night. They talked about how they take decent players and improve them through coaching.
How many players could we genuinely say we've helped to improve in their time with us?

    Wouldn't say no.

A guy who grew to love the club even after a rough ride initially when the fans didn't take to him as he took a while to settle in.

I've also just finished reading Jon Parkin's book and he thanks MH for being such a supportive and helpful guy, so clearly a decent people person too.

That's not a bad idea, I was a big fan of Hudson from the start he had an injury early on but become a good player and a great captain.

I think there's some bad blood between Huds and City because of the way he was forced out.

Apparently Solksjaer was forced to tell him out of the blue the day before the transfer window closed that the club (Dalman, Simon Lim) wanted him out. He was lucky to get a last minute contract at Huddersfield and that didn't go down well with him.

Whether that's all water under the bridge now is another matter, but I always liked the guy - very measured and articulate in his comments.

Wasn't there talk of him going to Wrexham?
He's a good bloke no doubt and if we were to get serious about giving a young manager a chance, he could be as good a call as any.

Yes, I'd quite forgotten about all that. It's probably more than enough to rule him out.
It's funny how the club somehow manages to let go of potential so easily. I thought the same about the release of Sol Bamba.
Perhaps it isn't funny but political. Goodness only knows how decisions are made at the club.

I thought it was Solksjaer who wanted his out and Hudson was not happy the way he did it.

The club announced his departure to Huddersfield Town on the last day of the transfer window.[115] His departure came after new signing, Bruno Ecuele Manga arrived from FC Lorient.[116] Later, Hudson was critical towards Solskjær over the way he handled his departure.[117] By the time he departed the club, Hudson was considered a cult hero with fans.[118]

The way things are going even Solskjaer may be available again soon <yikes>

Cooky Coleman got a new job yet????

I know he's been mentioned before but Ainsworth would be good.

Or how about Jimmy Floyd H'bank???

Maybe right Dai, but that's just from his Wiki page.

I've read somewhere that Solksjaer said in an interview after he'd left City that one of the hardest things he had to do during his time here was telling Hudson the club didn't want him. It was an instruction from the board in which he had no say and told Hudson exactly that.

I'd pay good money to see that combination in action! Could we wrench Macca away from Shamrock Rovers?
The bigger doubt though is that the board would baulk at the idea of having anyone even approaching hero status.
