Who's going to buy Anderson? He's a Bogarde. Shame as he's incredibly talented.

Anderson's become like a heavy cold. Gets you down, can't get rid of it, and no one else wants it

I can see us going for Strootman if he recovers fully, he is a big favourit of Van Gaals. I seriously don`t think we need another center back if we get the midfield sorted in front of them (Blind and Herrera should help this) Jones is good enough when played as a center half consistantly, Smalling imo is still 1-2 yeas off a first choice player.

I remember Andersons first 3 months with us, seeing him totally outshine people like Gerrard and Lampard, i remember thinking "my god we have a real player here". Don`t remember much after that though <wah>

Anderson is a ludicrously talented player. He's completely ****ed his career up through laziness and lack of discipline. He's clearly never taken his football career seriously as there's no excuse for a professional sportsman to be so unfit and overweight for so long!

Along with Nani, Ando was just another player who was downright lazy. Both started off with tremendous potential, but both got lazy. Ronaldo was considered the 3rd best of the three. Ando played on the fact that he was the next Brazilian superstar, but he was never going to get into that category. Just shows what dedication does for you. Nani and Ando are not fit to lace CR7's boots

Sorry devil but if you go with a back four Jones is not a right back and gives nothing going forward. Bring Raphael in at right back, put Jones to center back (where he is really good) bring Blind forward next to Herrera and bench Januzaj.

Some of the teams really highlight the possible un-balance of the squad, if it all works great for you but I still think that you'll struggle this season with the players you have.

With respect a view like that is based on the belief (not knowledge) that Shaw (PL team of the season), Rojo (World Cup finalist), Blind (World Cup semi finalist), Herrera (midget) and Jones (tipped as a future England captain two years ago) are either ****e or average with no potential to improve.

I think it's simply down to the assumption that as they are relatively unknown they must be a bit crap. Conversely, all Liverpool's unknown signings are hidden gems and future world class stars because they look boss in their Youtube clips.

What your saying Shteve is common sense, which is how most of the neutrals think. What your not allowing for is the wrath and indignation of the ABU's, who want any excuse to try and knock United.

Maybe LVG is working on the theory that every goal we concede we will score 2.

Not at all, you may notice that I don't really go in for having a go at you lot unless it is in jest. Maybe I learned over the years not to write you off I don't know but I tend to only post a genuine opinion.

At the moment there's no doubt that you have talented individuals I'm just questioning the blend and pointing out that the team is a bit dis-jointed.

I don't see how the team is disjointed. It's stronger in certain areas than others but every part of the team has adequate cover and personnel.

Take a look at some of the suggested formations, it seems people are just trying to fit all the stars into the first team and it doesn't seem to matter where they play as long as they are on the pitch.

    I fail to see how the squad is dis jointed. In each position we have;

GK - De Gea - Lindegaard as cover
RB - Rafael our cover isn't great here but we could use Valencia or Smalling
Left back - Shaw, Rojo and Blind as cover in an emergency
Centre Half - Jones and Evans/Rojo, Smalling and Blind as cover
    Defensive Centre Midfield - Blind
Centre Midfield - Herrerra and Carrick, Fletcher and Fellaini as cover
Attacking Midfield - Mata and Di Maria. Possibly even Rooney or Fellaini
Wide Men - Januzaj, Valencia and Young. Di Maria can also play this role.
Attack - Rooney, Falcao and van Persie.

This doesn't even scratch into the youth players we've seen deployed of late.

If we haven't got many (many) options there then I don't know exactly what you're thinking??????

I don't think LVG will do the same. It's a squad game. I doubt Yorke, Cole, Sheringham and Solskjaer played together as a four very often.

I suppose I'm looking at the formations and personnel posted by some people on here and some pundits, they seem to be picking a side that consists of all the stars and it doesn't matter where they play as long as they are on the pitch, the teams I'm seeing appear dis-jointed which is maybe a better explanation of what I mean.

We have plenty of cover in all positions as Chief listed. Plus we have several youngsters who have already been blooded, and LVG has always played youngsters if he thinks they are good enough. And its not all about using the same players for every game, you have to go back to the 70's and 80's for that style of football.

Only problem is we have to wait 10 days for LVG's formation due these international friendlies. But something has to line the pockets of Wembley PLC.

Just when we are all getting into the footy this happens, really bloody annoying.
