That was Sunderland's first good chance there but the ball was too fast for Bentner to reach it.

Whats the commentator praising elmo for? Every cross has hit the first man... only thing he has done is block the man u cross

Elmo, whatever his faults, was the first sunderland player to attack the man u defence all game. Our 1st real chance came after he came on, coincidence? i think not.

He took the ball, solid but fair challenge imo. Wish Cattermole had closed Rooney down like that throughout the game.

Sunderland managed one shot on target, though I don't remember Lindegaard making a save.

Man Utd weren't great but Sunderland didn't do enough to score.

yep elmo hit his first man on all three attempts at a cross. total waste.

otherwise good solid performance and could have cum away with a point.

Wouldn't say it was easy. You played well but you just didn't create much.

Classic example of a decision u dont get at Old Trafford, excellent tackle, got the ball completely, oh wait England Striker (or midfielder) goes down holding his leg, free kick.

So the Sunderland player NOT getting booked is a classic example of the sort of decision visiting teams don't get a Old Trafford <doh>

Westwood had a solid game nothing more. One phenominal double save, cant recall any other saves he had 2 make apart from a nani cross shot pretty much at him? Good on crosses, punched the ball well, very promising. Normally u expect 2get a hope in hell u need ur keeper to have 'one of those days' ie saves left right and centre and 2 get a bit of luck, we had neither.

No the fact that the play was not allowed to continue was the farce. The ref has a decision, was it a free kick or not, he made the incorrect decision, therefore a decision we did not get.

Good 3 points for us and Fergie continues his record against Bruce. Rooney and Vidic were easily our best players.
