Well. that was all pretty abysmal. Maybe Woodward might sort his act out now, and do what he's paid to do. Failing that might I suggest a rapid P45
A poor performance. Do we feel stupid for criticising the players last season? Definitely no. I said we needed £300m and I still stand by that. The defence is weak and our midfield needs reinforcing. I still maintain we have not reached the bottom yet. If we do not buy 3-4 top quality players by the end of the month we are stuffed. 4th will be a difficult task.
We do have ten players out. One being van persie, our most senior centre back and both our fullbacks. I imagine any side would have been below par. Of course were to blame for not bringing more in.
Been saying for over a fortnight Christian that Woodward needs to get his arse into gear. He's doing the same thing as last year, sweet FA, except being photographed with a smug grin. Don't go along with 4th being difficult, but there is something wrong when you start the season with 9 players unfit, and despite a huge kitty available, Woodward has made ZERO contributions so far.
1 game, and more proof pre season form means nothing once the PL starts. LVG will do well, don't doubt it, 1 game means nothing really.
Woodward together with Moyes ****ed united up last season. If ****ing Woodward does not move to get players (even at extremely inflated prices) he should be sacked.
Not sure why he bought Hernandez and Herrera off and bought Fellani on who is our worst player. But saying that we should of had a blatent pen at the end and Swasnsea's first goal should have been ruled out because of that blatent foul by Boney.
Possibly but honestly we didn't deserve anything from that game. The defence was powder puff. You never felt confident and with 2 attacks the swans scored There was no urgency at 1-1 and even at 1-2. LVG has got a massive task to turn that supertanker round. It will take a few seasons.
1-2 Well done Swansea City. Whilst Manchester United were winning preseason matches some of us were urging caution and others were stating we would win the Premiership. If that result comes as a shock to anyone they didn't see last season. IMHO with the exception of the manager this squad is little stronger (the defence looks a bit weaker). RVP will help but if we are getting better defenders/midfielders in - leaving it too late again!

UIR I admire your optimism in the face of the reality. Yes we had players missing, would ferguson have used those as an excuse to lose to the swans at OT? I thought we had very good players according to you. I can only repeat what I said a few times before. These players are good under ferguson but average or worse for anyone else.

What you "young" fans have to realise is that you have to take the good with the bad. It is not our given right to win every game, and whilst under SAF we were spoilt for 25 years, some of us remember that bad times before that. I still feel it will come good, LVG is a class manager, so lets quit the doom and gloom and move on. I still think the underlying problem is Woodward, if it was David Gill still in charge, we would have signed the players required soon after last season finished. Woodward is useless
As a supporter for 40 years I totally agree. Those saying we would win the the premiership (whilst possible) were unrealistic. Would be happy with top four. Two summers in a row talking about recruiting world class players but sadly not enough action.
